Flip it around and it makes way more sense!! The Velcro strap sits underneath the closure when worn this way, and is there to cover the Velcro when not in use, so it doesn’t snag on anything. Very helpful! The flaps go on either side of the nose and the fabric lays overtop, to block out the light. You can sort of see what I’m talking about in the pictures. This is the best sleep mask I’ve ever worn, it blocks out light for the eyes because of a dark material on the inside that you can see through the mask when it’s wet, and light is also blocked through the nose part thanks to the flaps, and nose cover. Super comfortable and soft, it seems to be 100% silk, and I love the closure at the back, it doesn’t snag against anything, it’s soft and lays nice and flat so you can sleep on it no problem, I’ve worn this for a while and washed it a few times and it still feels brand new, I keep it in the little pouch when I’m not using it which is super helpful too! I moved from a very dark bedroom to one that has a streetlight outside and this was disrupting my sleep very much. At first I wasn't sure if it was the light or the move stress or a combo, but after over a month of not sleeping well, I received this mask in the mail and since then I am sleeping so much better. Coincidence? Could be but I'm guessing it's this mask or at least a lot of it contributed to wearing this mask. Mine came sealed in a box. Comes with a little silk bag to use to store it in when traveling or if you wanted to store it when not in use. Super soft and silky. I washed mind on delicate, cold, but did not dry it in the dryer as that would ruin it. They want you to hand wash but I don't have time for that and I don't feel as if things are getting clean enough when hand washed. I was skeptical about the size, at first. But though it fits over most of my ears and a good portion of my small head/face, it isn't uncomfortable and I don't feel irritated by it at all. The nose part is flexible but still blocks light. So much more light is blocked than with my smaller sleep masks! The smaller ones moved around too much too and this one stays put. I didn't even have to velcro it too tight for it to stay put. The strap is adjustable so find what fits you best. I ordered mine on sale, so that was nice. I will be ordering another one but will wait to see if it goes on Prime Day deal first! Soft, comfortable, and far better than masks with plastic buckles. The silk feels great on my skin and reduces lines (though not completely). Velcro strap is comfy for me, but could snag hair for some. Only downside—it’s noisy to remove, so not ideal if you wake before your partner. Overall, a big upgrade from my old masks! Read more

Simply perfect! Soft The mask rests gently on my eyes. The Velcro gives the ability to adjust to comfortable fit. I will be ordering more. I have night terrors and ptsd. These remove easily but also provide a soft safety feeling. I can use it around my cpap. Read more

I had high hopes, but it fell short. Very silky, soft. Great quality. Beautiful color. Darkens well. My complaint is that this does not stay on my head at night. It’s so slick that it slides off my hair. Plus it made me really overheated at night since it’s mashing my thick hair to my head and neck. I was waking up sweating in discomfort.
