I purchased the 2x2 and set it at middle (4k) setting. Extremely comfortable light and every nook and cranny can be seen now. There were no installation instructions, instead you use a Q code to get them online. But if you have any knack at all, the whole assembly is just common sense. Hold a lightweight bracket to the ceiling, mark 4 spots for screws, drill 1/2” holes so butterfly anchors can be inserted, put the screws and anchors on the bracket and mount on the ceiling. Or, if you have an acoustic ceiling with a metal grid and tiles, just swap out a tile for the light. The light itself simply snaps and locks into the bracket (and has safety wires so it won’t fall accidentally or in an earthquake 😎All in all a good upgrade. Less energy, low profile and lots of light. It stands off from the ceiling about 3/8th of an inch. In new construction I suppose you could recess a shade, or simply glue trim to hide the gap. But my wife said, “I like that this one sits flush to the ceiling.” So I think it is unnoticeable at a glance. Read more
