Warm on windy days
So this is definitely warmer than the fleece lined. The Sherpa lined soft shell is slightly heavier but worth it on windy days. Overall, I was happy. Most companies only line the core. This coat is lined in the sleeves as well. I did have to order a replacement as the stitching for the Velcro came undone and 1 piece would eventually fall off. Would recommend the company double stitching it reinforce it. Since this is an area that gets continual use. The only design issue I have are the shoulder lapels. They seem useless. I do like how the zipper to the hood can be tucked into a flap and hidden. The hood also uses a plastic rail system to slide and attach on in the front. The draw string and cinch waistband is sewn close to the jacket itself. So you can tie a knot to elevate having excess cord just hanging lose and possibly getting caught on anything. Overall this is a good warm soft shell jacket for cold days. Read more
Really love it
Very surprised by the quality, warmth for its weight and fit. I’m picky about coats and this one fills a nice range - around 15 to 40F. I also want to try it out for winter cycling, which I haven’t tried yet. Not too heavy/bulky like a true parka. So far I’ve used it in the low teens with stiff wind and felt quite comfy - could have been outside for a while comfortably.
