Despite living in Alaska, I do travel to warmer climates several times a year. I ordered these shorts to havele something cool and comfortable when I travel, as even 80 degrees feels really hot to me. The fit is fine - I am 5'6", 140 pounds, with an hourglass shape. I would not have wanted the waist to be any smaller, but they are reasonably comfortable and I can see that they are going to be light and cool. My first impression was not great. They arrived with wrinkles and some sort of weird light colored marks. I laundered them and they came out perfectly - no marks, few wrinkles, no shrinkage that I could detect. I think for those of use with smaller waists they are likely pretty good, but for other girls the waist might be really snug. Read more

The contrast top stitching on these shorts is not pretty, it cheapens the look. I don’t expect to see orange top stitching on black linen. The length is too short for a mature woman in my opinion, the style might be appropriate if you’re young. I returned it. Read more

Soooooo CUTE!!! These shorts are lightweight, soft, and really comfortable for warm weather. The rayon‑linen blend gives them a smoother feel and nicer drape than pure linen, while still staying breathable. Since I sew, I always flip clothing inside out to check the construction, and these are surprisingly well done for casual shorts. The seams are neat, the stitching is consistent, and nothing looks rushed. I added inside‑out photos so you can see the seam work the same way I do. The elastic waistband is comfortable, the drawstring actually works, and the loose leg fit gives them an easy, relaxed look. The pockets are deep enough to be useful, which is always a plus. Oh!! Another thing about the waistband that I forgot to say when I was talking about the construction: I LOVE how they sewed the elastic in! I have a pair of lounge pants that have a waistband this same size, EXCEPT, they just ran the elastic through the channel for it and sewed it together end-to-end. Since it is so wide, after wearing it just one day, the elastic folded over inside the channel to where the fabric is now loose around it. The elastic on THESE shorts, however, are actually sewn TO the fabric instead of just INSIDE the fabric. You definitely do not have to worry about the waistband rolling down! They are very wrinkled in the pictures from being vacuumed packaged. Even so, I put them on and started wearing them around the house to get a feel of it. A lot of the wrinkles actually fell out! These shorts are nice to throw on when you want to stay cool and be comfortable. The stitching is a bit more of a golden orange color than shown in the listing but it is a nice color so not a big deal to me. The fabric is flowy and cool but not the softest or stretchiest. The waistband has a Drawstring to make them tighter which is necessary because they are a bit small and I recommend sizing up. They are thick enough to not be see through if the sun shines on them or if you bend over and they are nice enough to wear casually or a little more dressed up or even when you just want to lounge around. Very comfortable to wear. The elastic has a good hold; You can position it higher up on your waist or lower at the hips and it stays nicely. It has two pockets of a good size (not some unusable mini contraptions) and working drawstrings which are really optional.. maybe more useful if you have a lower circumference waist/hip or after some time, when/if the waist band's elastic has loosened. The fabric is thin, but not too thin; I do not find "decency" to be a concern with these, if that makes sense. No see through-ing and no sticking-to-your-skin happening. Overall, 👍 Read more

These shorts sort of resemble denim shorts but they're not. My wife likes these and gives them a definite plus for having pockets. They're a little short for what she normal prefers, though, and they run a little small for the size. Otherwise, they're soft and comfortable. These Casual Linen Shorts are really cute on! I did not expect them to be this flattering! I really needed Shorts and because these have a Drawstring I thought the chances of them fitting was pretty good. I ordered a Medium and these fit great! I like the material alot, it feels nice and soft. I like how these are loose fitting, but not too big in the leggs. I also like that these are not see through!! Thats a huge plus! The Material looks thicker than it is, they are not as heavy as they look. I think the White Stitching is such a nice touch and gives them a look thats all their own! I don't have any other Shorts like these. I ordered them in the Light Blue Color and its a really nice Shade. I would describe this Color as looking similar to a Slate Blue, its beautiful and very versatile. This Blue matches well with the majority of my Shirts!
