All- around useful. seems well made.
The blade edges on both cutters are well aligned and very sharp. Plenty of leverage to cut through any thickness nail. The cotter pins seem to be placed solid and precise. Need to be a bit mindful when placing. Pls note the down angle of the clipper to the finger in my photo. If I place the clipper straight in line with my finger or a toe, it may take a lot more nail than intended. Since the blades are so sharp, they can grab and cut before one knows it. No big deal, just takes some practice to learn. The 2-sided file has good all-around grit and plenty of surface. Did not try the puller yet but looks good. Suppose they could have used better steel with some rare metals like in fine knives, but that might push the price of this set into $hundreds. Think the 420 SS used is plenty tough for any nail. Time will show how long the edges will hold, but looks good. Tried a bit cheaper similar set- the 360 swivel end clippers broke off after few uses. The blades on the long handle cutters are configured poorly and were dull, so would not cut toenails. Apparently a softer steel, not the 420 C like these. Nice box for the bathroom counter, but too big for light travel. Then again, the only pieces I need on the road are the wide mouth and the file. They do not take any space at all. Thx to Amazon for a painless return on the other set and quick deliveries. Read more
