Quieter than box springs on steel rails
Our old Cal King bed was as old as our marriage (17 years in November 2018) and bursting with dead bedbugs and the chemicals we tried to use to kill them. After a whole-house fumigation, we had Junk King take it all away, mattress, split box springs, steel frame and wooden headboard. It its place sits our Lull Cal King mattress, protector and metal frame. No box springs, no headboard, no footboard, nothing that hangs out the VACANCY sign for bedbugs and dust mites. The frame went together as easily as Lull claims but the improved design with the support bridges straddling the frames instead of hanging from them isn't depicted in the instruction leaflet. Once you figure out what goes into where, the entire assembly is rock stable and surprisingly quiet, as most squeaks come from aging innersprings and box springs. The biggest advantage is that the mattress can breathe on all sides including through the bottom, keeping it fresh and helping it bounce back. Read more
