I love my iPad mini (gen 7). It’s my e-reader, my portable journal, and all-around take-with-me device. But it had been a real nuisance to type on it. Even after trying several “keyboard folios”, nothing was quite right. Until I found the LULULOOK iPad mini stand. This little guy is high quality, made of solid Aluminum and it looks to be powder coat painted, so you’d have to try hard to scratch it off. The mini snaps into place via the magnets, and it doesn’t move once it’s there. I actually have to give it a decent pull to get the mini off the stand when I want to be more mobile. The price threw me off at first, but this has made my iPad Mini so much more versatile and useful. I still have a rubberized travel case, but for around the house this stand is perfect. I use my iPad for recipes while cooking, for sheet music while playing instruments, and while watching videos. This thing is perfect. The magnetic strength to hold the iPad isn’t overpowering but it’s strong enough to where I know it’s never coming off unless I pull it off. The metal is strong and durable. So here is one of my recent favorite things, this magnetic iPad Mini stand (LULULOOK Foldable Magnetic Stand for iPad Mini 6/7). I absolutely love it. I use my iPad mini a lot for reading on my kindle, taking notes on books, and writing book reviews. With the Logitech K380 keyboard, it’s perfect to draft my book reviews. Lately, it has also become my mini media consumption device, whether it be YouTube or Apple TV. Super convenient since it is magnetic and the mini attaches easily and securely. I love my iPad mini, especially paired with apple’s case. My gripe with the case though is that it doesn’t make much sense in a lot of home settings…I found myself still wanting some sort of a stand. I’ve found that when I’m home I tend to treat my iPad mini like my home hub of sorts more than my go-to iPad (I’m writing this review on the iPad Pro 12.9”). So a less mobile solution actually makes sense if I can reach over to my side table and, say, change the lights or look something up quickly. I like how solid the base is…I never have to worry that I’m going to tap on my iPad and have it all fall down beside my sofa. The adjustability of the height and angle are what truly sold me after my purchase. Imagine falling asleep on your sofa and having the iPad at eye level when you wake up and at the perfect angle. Or cooking in your kitchen but needing to reference your iPad at table height. I can turn my iPad so that it’s parallel with the table making it crazy easy to read! The magnets are annoyingly/comfortingly strong so it won’t fall off by accident…in fact, the only way I’ve found to pop it off is pushing at the camera cutout with assertive force.
