I’m usually a 9 1/2-10. I took a chance a got the 9 1/2. It paid off. They are fabulous boots. They look expensive! Can even go dressy with them. I love the extra wide top. Mainly because if your wearing jeans, the fit nicely with them. I haven’t worn them out yet. Just in my house. But I think because they are a bit wide, it should be comfortable. Long story short: I returned them as they didn’t fit at the ankles. The shaft is long and floppy, while the ankle area is much stiffer. There’s a zipper on the inner side of the boot and one on the outer side. The shaft is 16” long and the inner zipper opens from the sole to mid shaft and measures about 7 1/2”. The outer zipper is purely decorative. I have arthritis in both ankles - with one slightly stiffer than the other due to a broken ankle years ago, making it difficult to extend my foot out to a point. The ankle also tends to swell somewhat when it’s cold or wet. Because it doesn’t unzip fully, I had to point my toe to get the foot down the shaft and it was a fight because of how floppy the shaft was and how funky the ankle is. When I finally got the boot on, the zipper wouldn’t close over the ankle. I tried the other boot on “for science,” but it wouldn’t zip over the smaller ankle either. My smaller ankle measures just shy of 9 1/2” if that’s helpful. I liked the style of them and wish they would have fit. Read more
