At the widest part of my calf, with jeans on, it’s about 18.5 inches, these have plenty of room, as you can see in the picture, I can shove my hand in the boot with my leg. I'm very happy to say that these actually do fit a larger calf. My calf measures just under 18 in. I wear a size 16 in jeans. My shoe size is exactly the same as I ordered in this boot and that fits well too. The boots shaft fit great and I actually have a little bit of room at the top of the shaft. The heel is the perfect height and although the toe is pointy, which makes it a little dressier looking, it is not so pointy that it squishes my toes. The fabric is suede like and the zipper seems secure. I'm quite happy with this purchase. I think it'll look really cute with dresses for fall. I recommend to all all the other girlies out there who do not have a super slim calf. So many others say wide width and that's just not true but this one really is. I recommend. Read more

Cautious review- upon putting these boots on I found them surprisingly comfortable- the foot runs on the wide side even though I ordered a 9M but it’s not so big to be uncomfortable with winter weight socks should be a snug fit. My calf is 17.5 and these boots run easily to 18+” cause there is enough space to accommodate knee high socks or jeans. Zipper is fluid and the material is soft. These fit my very large calves. My calves are close to 20". They zip but I really don't have room for jeans. My calves are super large though so most large calf ladies would have plenty of room. Do be aware that the ankle section is not as generous as the upper portion. People with a lot of ankle swelling might not fit. I have a arthritis in one ankle that causes light swelling. I got them zipped but it required some patience. I personally like the tighter ankle because it prevents painful bunching. They have a bit of cowboy boot style that isn't as apparent in the photos. The "slouch" effect is good for me. My calf is like an ice cream cone shape which tends to make boots slide down a little. The slouch look disguises the little bit of sagging. Another note is that they are quite tall. Pay attention to the shaft height measurements. They do have a western style notch at the top that helps prevent chafing at the knee. I got the brown. I'd say they are more of a mushroom brown which is a little different than the photos in the picture. It's a grey toned brown. I actually like the color better in person. They might be a bit of a clash with a reddish brown outfit though. Read more
