UPDATE: AS OF MAY 15TH, 2023. I have used the towels after bathing and found them to be very good. Not too thick but still absorbent. I'm happy with my purchase. I just received both the "Dark Red/Burgundy" and "Blue" bath towel sets. I opened them and put them through 2 washes and rinses. They shed ALOT. Do your dryer a favor and take the newly washed towels outside and shake them off thoroughly before putting them in your dryer. Dry them and then put them through the rinse cycle again with fabric softener. Once done, shake them off outside and dry them. That helped a lot with these towels. I have NOT used them to dry off with after showering yet, so I will update my review once I have to let you know whether or not they shed all over me!! The towels are very pretty in color, but they aren't a really thick towel which is ok with me. I don't know if they are absorbent yet when drying off but I will update you. THE REASON FOR NOT HAVING 5 STARS IS SIMPLY, THE SHEDDING. THEY SHED ALOT. But, towels usually do. I hope this review helps someone. Read more

Good towels, I feel like rating them now won’t do anyone a solid. Towels have to actually wear before an accurate picture of quality is given. So far though they wash decent, there were a few stings here and there. Color is accurate to description. Read more
UPDATE: April 7 = Yes, I still love these towels! So, 3 weeks ago 1 of the pups decided to jump into the shower with me. Ok, fine, I wrapped her up in MY towel & stuck her in the sink to quick get dressed. Longer story shortened: One of my towels was in the recliner - the pups were busy rearranging before settling in. 3 days later I went to wash towels. (Knew I should have taken a pic) I ended up with a solid handful of loose threads (thank you puppy) cut off this beautiful towel! Best news: pulling it out of the washer - I can't find a thin spot let alone a hole from cutting all that off! I was sure it was ruined - but so far it is NOT! I'm going to order these again - but a smaller size. I don't need one this big. It's heavy for these old bones! They are perfect for the pups too! First thing: I ordered the Aqua Blue / Turquoise! LOL - as you can see I have PURPLE! I did NOT drop the star rating because of the wrong color because that is easily fixed! I'm actually quite happy for the mix up! It's far more interesting visually! The color is in my shower curtain. SO, JUST BE AWARE of the possible color mix up. The label clearly states Aqua ... I'd be curious to see if by ordering purple the Aqua would be sent! I'm sure at some point the error will be noticed and addressed! They fluffed up nice & soft through the wash cycle. I didn't think they had much more lint for a first wash than my sister's thicker well washed towels from the pillow guy. I like these better! Yaayyy! It SAYS to wash in COLD - I wash everything on the "Tap Cold" setting anyway! I like the contrasting thread color on the trim as well. Dried on low, I didn't notice any 'SHRINKING' around the trim. They are a nice MEDIUM weight which in my opinion drier quicker (energy efficient); NOT the super thick that some are looking for, I'd say 2x thicker than a "beach towel". I did notice 1 'snagged' longer thread on ONE towel. I just snipped & tied, then trimmed it. At 70 inches long it's PLENTY long enough to wrap around most bodies! Mine hang on a handicap height rail so it makes for interesting folding to keep it off the floor! Hope this helps! Read more
I received these yesterday, and was not impressed with them out of the package - they were not at all what I'd describe as soft or plush, and the color was not near as rich as the product image showed. I noticed right away that the washcloth is not made of the same terry fabric as the other pieces, but is much thinner, and the hand towel is also a bit thinner & lower-pile than the bath towel. I bought them mainly to add a warm fall color to my bathroom that wouldn't clash with the muted sea-green walls, so their softness isn't the MOST important factor, though I want to be able to use them, too. I thought a wash would likely soften them up and make them fluffier. Knowing these are not the highest-quality towels, I washed them by themselves on cold/delicate with a gentle detergent, and dried them in the dryer on the lowest heat setting, with just a couple of dryer balls, no fabric softener, as is appropriate for bath towels. Sadly, even with such careful treatment, they still came out with quite a few loose threads, as well as a few pulled terry loops. And they are SLIGHTLY fluffier than they were right out of the package, but not any softer - they actually seem a little rougher. The color remains a very drab milk-chocolate-with-a-hint-of-gray, not the lovely rich color shown. And what's more, I took a measuring tape to them for this review, and they are all considerably smaller than the stated measurements! The washcloth is 11" x 11", not 12" x 12"; the hand towel is 15" x 25", not 16" x 28"; and the bath towel is just 28" x 50", not 30" x 54". Another issue: You can see from my photos that the main product image for this set does NOT show the actual set: it's just an enhanced photo of the bath towel, with two smaller versions of the exact same photo placed on top of it to look like a hand towel and washcloth. (In reality, the decorative trim on the bath towel has four rows of herringbone, the hand towel has three, the washcloth has two; the image shows all three of them with four rows, which is the giveaway.) I'm pretty sure such directly deceptive & dishonest advertising is illegal. Two positives for this set: All pieces have decorative trim at both ends, and there was very little lint in the dryer. So, people who like a thinner, rougher towel and don't mind the lack of durability might possibly find these worth the price. But for me, that doesn't overcome any of the many negatives enough to give the set more than one star. These are NOT large, plush, or soft, and definitely not luxury towels, and I am beyond frustrated at the way so many products are falsely described, and I will be returning them and will make sure never to purchase this brand again. Nice and soft. Came in 3 lengths, it's light weight, and it has a nice deep purple color as advertised. Just as I like it! It works well for my color scheme. Washing didn't dull the colors and no true shedding, either. Great value for the money spent. Read more
