I thought I would have to nag my husband to use this, but started using it from day one, no nagging required. He likes the way it makes his face feel less tight after he washes it. He has been using it daily for about six weeks now. It is really hard to say if it has changed the appearance of his skin, but he does like the way it makes his skin feel. Especially during the winter when the air is so much dryer, this helps his face not feel so parched. He likes the smell, he said it is not perfumey at all. He also likes the texture of the lotion because it's nice and light, it is not too thick or too heavy or too greasy. Overall this is a nice face lotion for men. I am reviewing another M. Skin Care product, this time the M. Skin Care Men’s Daily Defense Hydrating Lotion which is a lightweight lotion made for those with oily, dry or normal skin and is sulfate free and paraben free. The product comes in a push pump and the cannister is more like a travel type of hydrating lotion. It is not easy to measure the effectiveness of this product because its virtues are also its limitations. This is a lightweight and clear liquid, and absorbs quickly. These are good qualities if these are what you seek, but not if you prefer something creamy and thicker. Immediately after application, I don't have a sense of "that feels great" - rather, my thought is "where did this go?" I suspect the hydrating effects are similarly light. So, it has a place in the rotation but wouldn't be my preference. The bottle is a convenient size, and not prone to tipping. Dispensing is of the squirt variety via a pump - it work well enough. The product claims to be "cruelty and paraben free." I'll add that it has no discernible scent - again, that might be a good thing. Also note that this is not an SPF/UV blocking product. Read more
I don't know if it's because I didn't use this on my face, but it didn't work on my hands and arms. When you first apply it, it feels like it's working but after about 30 minutes, my hands and arms starts to get dry again. I thought it was very good that it didn't feel like lotion when you apply it. You don't get the slippery feel that you get from lotions. The actual lotion also doesn't look like your regular lotion. It looks like gluey water. There is also no scent. I wanted to like this but it just didn't work for me. Again, I didn't use this on my face so maybe that's why it didn't work. Read more
I have been using this lotion for a while, and I like it. I have been used to creams, and this one has a more gel like appearance to it, but that doesn't affect it in any way besides the look of it. It spreads nicely, and saturates well. I like that it does not leave my skin feeling greasy at all, and does well to hydrate my face because I have a few spots where my skin tends to dry out a little, and begin to peel. While I will say that it hasn't totally eliminated the dry areas 100%, it has improved them by about 90% lets say. I don't so much like the little bottle it comes in. I do like the size, and it conveniently fits into my pocket and is basically easy to take with no matter where, however, I don't know if it is the bottle that I received, but every time I pop the cap, the tip attached to the spring comes off. I do find that a bit annoying. The product itself though is very good, and I use it everyday with good results. So if you are prone to dry skin, or with winter approaching and the air becoming much dryer, this is a good thing to have handy to apply at a moments notice. Read more
It's getting to that time in New England where the temperatures drop and our skin dries out. My husband normally has a bit of scruff for a beard and at this time of year, it gets so dry that sometimes his skin flakes off. Not any more! I've been trying to get my husband to address this problem so I requested this product from VIne. He absolutely loves it. It doesn't have much of a scent, (perfect for him!), and it's very creamy without leaving any oily residue. I've noticed that his scruffy beard doesn't have any more flaking skin, so...once again, perfect! He's already asking me to order more, which I will. This is a nice moisturizer. Not greasy but feels nice on my skin, whether fresh shaven or scruffy. Easy to dispense the right amount, and easy to spread evenly across my face. No big scent here, which is appreciated. Skin looks and great after a few weeks of use. Very happy to have picked this up. **Update** I’m going to go ahead and raise my star rating from 4 to 5 because my husband has reordered this for himself four more times since I originally wrote the review. He loves it. **Original Review** It's hard to get my husband to take care of his skin, but he seems to be using this lotion regularly. He says it takes about a pump and a half to cover his face comfortably, and it's easy to dispense the product. It's scent free and very lightweight, absorbing quickly after application.
