Just got it. Came on time. I got the orange one. It seems to be a pretty good back pack. Zippers seem a little light but ok. Lots of pockets. Nice size. Can organize stuff in the different pockets. It's light. Can fit alot in it. Good functionality and able to go a lot of different places. Seems pretty sturdy. Seems pretty good for the price. It looks like a very sturdy and well made back pack. It can fit a lot of things. I love that the straps have a horizontal clip in the front so they don’t slide off your shoulders. Also, it straps around your waist to help with redistribution of weight because so it is snug around you without shifting. It has soo many compartments!!! Seems like good material. Maybe between a thick windbreaker and a good tent. Nice it has the rain cover down in the bottom. Has tons of little clips, rings, and buckles and such. Fair amount of pocket and lots of room. Should be comfortable enough to carry. Nice thick straps and padded back. Crammed a weeks worth of clothes in for a trip and didn't stress the zippers. I like all the padding at the essential spots where the backpack contacts areas of your body that might get sore; i.e. the shoulders and back, also the abdominal area where the straps come across that area. The stomach straps have zippered pockets on each side. The pack has 2 water bottle pockets that will probably fit larger reusable water bottles. The pack has 2 large outside zippered pockets. The main pocket is double zipped with 4 interior pockets. One of the interior pockets is zippered. Also has a very convenient carry handle. One thing I really like is how many places the backpack can be adjusted to fit different body styles and make in more comfy to wear. One great feature is that the backpack is waterproof, but I have not been able to test that yet. Another neat feature at the bottom of the pack is a waterproof zippered pouch for those valuables that definitely can't get wet. This will be a great addition to my fishing adventures! The Maelstrom blue backpack is an absolute winner! 🌟 I used it for two full days of adventure at Disneyland, and it performed beautifully. What stood out right away was how many pockets it had—perfect for organizing everything. I could easily separate my glasses and gloves, pack clothing, and store tons of snacks while still having quick access to everything. In the main compartment alone, I fit two heavy-duty jackets and three 1-gallon bags of snacks without any struggle. Getting in and out of it was a breeze. The front lower strap even had extra storage, which was ideal for smaller items like beef sticks and fruit roll-ups. This high quality and spacious backpack fit my smaller frame comfortably, which is a big deal since so many backpacks can feel bulky. One side pocket held my iPhone 13 Pro perfectly—and while it wouldn’t fit a portable charger at the same time, either item fit individually with no issue. The photo shows the backpack weighs less than two pounds empty. Overall, the Maelstrom backpack is lightweight, heavy-duty, and incredibly well-designed. At first I wasn’t sure about getting the green color but I absolutely love it! It’s definitely true to its color. It’s super spacious, lightweight and loaded with lots of extras. I was surprised that the main pocket has a compartment with a Velcro strap and a nicely covered hole on the top for perfectly securing my water bladder system. I’m a huge fan of the Maelstrom bags and this one doesn’t disappoint. So many addition pockets and straps for my hiking poles. It also comes with an extra rain cover that is located in the bottom pocket which can be used over the bag for extra protection or maybe to wrap wet clothes in. The waste pocket is perfect for your cell phone. It's a great quality backpack but most importantly it’s super comfortable for those extra-long hikes. I love it. Read more
