I bought this dvd player because i still have the old 19 inch non flat screen televison and the newer players no longer work with the type of t.v. i have. this dvd player works great. it was easy to hook up and i had it playing five minutes after it arrived. control is easy to use. I've had this DVD player for years and I've never had a problem with it. The only- ONLY critique is that sometimes it can be noisy but that it with most DVD players. This is a Region 1 player, which means it only plays discs from North America or Region-free discs. These are the playable disc formats for the player (just in case.)
