when it comes to a DVD player all anybody wants is something reliable and consistent that works every time and if you're lucky you get a remote with simple to understand button placement so it's easy to rewind or pause while watching a movie in the dark. This player is everything but reliable... at one point I paused a DVD for about 10 or 15 min and when I returned to continue watching, the player had completely shut down. I tried to push play that wouldn't work... in fact none of the remote buttons did anything at all. I had to unplug it And reset the unit just for the disk to play again. I've only had the player for about 2 months and it has done that same thing about 3 or 4 times. It's very frustrating.
