I can tell the company takes a lot of pride in their presentation. It'd be a great gift for that special person in your life who could use some landscaping. Upon opening the package, you're greeted by the trimmer, the accessory box, and a charging dock/stand. It comes with a little bottle of oil that doesn't leak (win!), a small brush, a cable, and an adjustable guard. It feels quite nice in the hand; it almost feels slightly rubberized and I had no issues holding onto it with wet hands. The first step is to pop the cutting head off and apply oil in the locations mentioned in the manual. It's quiet, and I found the light to be truly useful for navigating. I tried to get it to nick me, but was unsuccessful. I was unscathed in the end! All I had to do was rinse the head, get any loose hairs out from beneath the comb, and dry it off. There was still plenty of battery life left. The reason I took a star off is because I felt like the guard hindered its ability to cut when it came to longer hairs. It still cut, but required a few passes. I'm not sure if the white portion of the trimmer head is plastic or "ceramic", but it doesn't cut as well as your standard full-metal trimmers. I'd rather do an extra pass than constantly nick, scrape, or burn myself though. I only experienced it tugging once, and that may have been because of the angle I was using it. I noticed that it's advertised as being "waterproof", but says to keep it away from water in the safety information? Which one is it?
