This trimmer is unique compared to other trimmers. It has removable batteries. At first I didn’t understand why, but I guess if you are a professional, it would make sense. I also assume that eventually all batteries will go bad, so being able to replace them gives it longer life. Assuming that MANGROOMER will still be supporting it in the long run. Only time will tell I suppose. In terms of performance and features, I would say that is performs as well as most but not great. I have had several that function better, like the ONE BLADE. But this one does have a replaceable battery. OH, I almost forgot, the battery in this trimmer is usable in all other MANGROOMER products with the “Intellimax” branding. Overall, I do think this is a good option. I think to get the most out of it, you should buy the other “intellimax” products. They like to show in the ad that this is good for trimming the testicles, I would be very careful and do NOT use it without a guard. So, you can only trim it a little bit, not completely. That is ok. Very disappointed. I have other products from this company and they work as expected. But this one is a fail. Does not provide a close shave, leaves more of a “5 o’clock shadow” length. Not gentle on the “gentle areas”. The guide in the box describes that it will take time to learn how to shave with it safely/effectively. This is not a straight razor, it should not require special training. You must be extremely careful or you will have the teeth marks, trickles of blood, and hair still left behind. The foil name is misleading, it only cuts from the teeth on the sides. There are no holes in the middle of the cutting head for the hair follicles to shave down like most would think when reading foil head. Design is nice. And I like the interchangeable rechargeable battery. Read more

Ok so I had the original Mangroomer and within 2 years the plastic on the wide cutter broke, couple of years later I see the Max Pro with all the bells and whistle, but the plastic has not changed. For the money you spend, they should have upgraded the strength and model. Example: my oyester hair trimmer is metal and hard plastic, I have been using that for 15 years! If I duct tape it to a stick, I could use it on my back, but I thought I would buy mangroomer instead. Second mangroomer purchase and I am a little disappointed. Hopefully 3.0 will be higher quality. Mangroomer decided to make a micro trimmer. They did this years after Norelco came out with the one blade, and a solid year after Braun perfected the micro trimmer. They are late to the party and made some odd choices on the way. First off, the actual blade is pretty much the same size as the Norelco and Braun blade. However, the body is massive. It's three to four times larger than the others. On top of being huge, it lacks the grip of the Braun. Maybe they thought size would impress people? Okay, the real reason the handle is so massive, is because they decided to use the same battery back from their back / body shaver. The batter is removable and swappable. This is an area where this shaver beats the others, since you only need a USB-C to charge it. The others use a custom charger. Shaving is almost as good as the Braun. It's not quite on the same level, but it's really good and gets the job done. You can swap the head out with a couple of other trimmers. This is good, but the others do that too. If you can deal with the huge size, or already have another Mangroomer, this one is a good option. If you are just looking for the best, go with the Braun. Read more

I was looking for a compact grooming kit to use at home and for going on extended trips. I liked that when I opened this kit that the parts seemed to be made of decent quality materials. I like that this is the first kit I have found that came with a backup battery that can be charged in advance. I also appreciate the fact that they used a USB-C cord for charging the tool. The different plastic guards that were included do not look like they are very strong so I will have to be careful when using them otherwise I know I will end up breaking one. I do like the extra foil head included so that I do not have to buy another one for quite a while. The bonus feature for me is the nose trimmer attachment to help take care of more grooming areas all at one time. Read more
