Best bag I've owned
I hate hate hate laptop bags. My previous bag that I used for carrying stuff to work and as a carry-on on planes was a work laptop bag that I cut the god awful padding slots out of. It worked pretty good. I could actually get stuff in there other than a laptop. But it was ugly and it always had the extra bits of fabric in there. I looked a long time for a bag that would be basically big empty bag that would hold my stuff and let me get things in and out of it quickly and not have _any_ pockets. This bag actually does have a little pocket for stuff like a wallet and cell phone in it which I find useful, so it actually is better than my extreme minimalist goals. I've put the bag through a lot. It regularly makes trips on the plane and always fits under the seat in front of me and I regularly used it when I'm commuting by bicycle. The velcro is completely reliable and it includes velcro covers if you don't need or want the flap to stick down. I put the velcro covers on sideways so I don't lose them but the velcro still works. I had a slime filled bicycle inner tube pop on me one day and the slime got all up and down my back and all over the bike and all over the bag. The bag and the bike recovered just fine but my clothing did not. I'm glad I have this bag. Read more
