This is such a great product and if you want comfy, effective blackout sleep mask, don't balk at the price, just by them now. They're high quality, block out 100% of the light most of the time and if they do let any in it's a tiny sliver and easy to fix. They stick away from your eyelashes so there's no tickling. I am a light sleeper and recently tested this product out for a 4 day dance trip during which I shared a hotel room with 4 other team members with no privacy. This sleep mask is wonderful. I have large round sensitive eyes that often experience pressure from normal sleep masks and leave me in pain. The deep eye sockets of this mask completely eliminated that problem for me. My eyes and eyelashes had room to breathe. I have a smaller head and was able to customize the fit of the band as well as the position of the eye sockets. It was completely dark by the time I was done. The earplugs also worked really well to dull noise, not completely mute. I like that the carrying case is ventilated to cut down on breeding bacteria. Never before have I experienced a 100% blackout with an eye mask, until Manta. This mask is truly a game changer for anyone needing a little extra darkness in their sleep routine. Being a side sleeper, I purchased the slim hoping to mitigate previous issues with masks falling off, gapping due to the pillow pressing against my temple, feeling like my (natural) eyelashes were being crushed, and elastic that stretched out after 3 uses. The Manta mask has delivered on all fronts!! My only gripe is that I wish the eye cups were angled/thinner toward the temple , as I sometimes feel an uncomfortable pressure on my cheekbone on the side touching my pillow. The Manta Slim Sleep Mask has completely changed how I sleep. I’ve tried so many different sleep masks, but nothing compares to this one. My favorite part is the interchangeable Velcro eye pillows. They’re so soft and make it easy to adjust the mask exactly the way I need it. It’s such a small detail, but it makes a huge difference. No pressure on my eyes, just total comfort. The mask itself is super light and slim, and I barely notice I’m wearing it. It blocks out all the light, even during the day, which has been perfect for naps or when I’m trying to rest while traveling. The material is soft and breathable, so it doesn’t feel hot or irritating, even if I wear it all night. What I really love is how well it stays in place. Great mask. Confortable and light weight. I was afraid I would get hot, since I am not used to sleeping with a mask, but it is a nice fit. I got it to go camping trip and found myself sleeping with it on every night. I like the feeling of having a pillow for your face. I am not a sleeping mask connoisseur but I do not intend to continue my search for a perfect mask for I believe I have found it. I had high hopes for these because my bedroom gets a lot of light pollution. There’s a streetlight right outside my window near the bed, and even with blackout curtains I still get light leakage that can keep me up at night. When these arrived, my first impression was very positive. They are clearly well-made and extremely soft. The large eye cups are great — my long lashes had plenty of room, and even with a larger nose they fit comfortably without pressure. From a design and comfort-on-contact standpoint, they did a lot right. Unfortunately, the biggest issue for me was breathability. While these claim to be breathable, that just wasn’t my experience. Within about 10 minutes, I could feel heat building up around my eyes, forehead, and upper face. It became distracting and uncomfortable enough that I had to take them off, which defeats the purpose for overnight use. I noticed this brand offers several different models at different price points, and these were the cheaper option. I can’t help but wonder if the more expensive versions use a more breathable material, because aside from price it’s not very clear what differentiates the models. In the end, these just weren’t comfortable enough for me to sleep in. I won’t be trying the higher-priced versions because this experience made me lose confidence in the product line. If you’re considering this brand, I’d recommend starting with one of their higher-end models rather than this one and seeing if that works better for you. Read more
