I'm giving this Marie Originals Kids Ear Drops 4 stars. I appreciate the focus on natural ingredients by this brand. I appreciate their commitment to create products that provide balanced, thoughtful care. And I believe the ingredients in this formula are effective and well thought out. I didn't give five stars because I thought the smell was pretty strong and not pleasant. I know that adding apple cider vinegar to a product creates a difficult to solve issue with scent, but I found it to be a little overwhelming. I felt the product had a more oily texture than I was expecting. The liquid comes out light but does leave an oily texture behind. I get that it might be best to coat the inside of the ear but since they specifically mention no oily residue or buildup, just wanted to point out that wasn't my experience. I like the idea of gentle ear care, for after swimming and when there's discomfort but not an infection, which is why I gave this product four stars. It's not my personal favorite but I do believe it's a good value and can potentially offer real pain relief and provide comfort, which is ultimately what counts. Read more
So far these ear drops have been working really well for our family. Our son has always struggled with ear infections, and last year he had to have surgery because of it. Because of his history, I was careful and checked with his pediatrician before trying these drops, and since they’re homeopathic she approved us using them. We’ve been using them as a gentle, supportive option for ear comfort and daily ear care. I’m definitely not using this as a replacement for actual medicine or anything a doctor would prescribe, but it’s been a nice homeopathic addition to our routine. So far they seem to be helping and our son tolerates them well. I’ve mentioned this in other reviews, but I really trust the Marie Originals brand. I think a number of us have the situation with a kid where they don't get ear infections, but their ears start bugging them. Either from wax buildup, or something similar. This is a great option for those kids where you don't need a doctor or medicine because it's not infected, but where the kiddo needs a bit of relief, and help clearing out the ear canal. This does that naturally. I was drawn to this because of the natural ingredients and the gentle nature of them. It produces noticeable relief almost immediately, and it's very easy to use: just regularly put a couple drops in the ear, then let it drain out. Simple. And simple is best when trying to do anything with kids! This seems to help prevent a lot of the ear complaints we were having, so I'm glad it's an option for helping prevent worse ear problems in earache-prone kids.
