I just ordered my second pair of these. I've always hated getting wet walking in the rain. These can be worn every season. They are lightweight and not too heavy in the warmers season and can be layered in the cold. Great quality. Size was exactly as described. Read more

I’d give these more than 5 stars if I could. I reach for these so often! They’re comfortable, sturdy, medium weight so they’re bearable in heat or chill, and fend off light rain pretty well. Plenty of stretch in the fabric means your movement is never constricted, and they have belt loops. There’s a good collection of pockets - 2 hand pockets, 2 back pockets, and a thigh pocket are all reasonably deep. The back pockets are the deepest and adequate for most smartphones. If yours is one of the really big ones you may want to use pockets in your shirt or jacket or fanny pack or whatever. But my phone is a current iphone and I just walked 3 miles over hilly terrain with it in a back pocket with no problem. Read more

What I like. The Marmot name at a decent price. Pants are light weight and not bulky. Zipper at ankle area for easy on/off. Snap button at ankle with an elastic cord and toggle that allow you to tighten the bottom of the pant somewhat. What’s not perfect for me is still the length. I ordered an XL Short. I’m 5’ 4”. The length is still 2-3 inches too long for me. I will keep them and work with them. Ordered a pair from REI that were super bulky and much longer. Read more

Excellent option to wear over hiking pants and to stay dry during heavy rain. Excellent breathability, able to keep wearing between downpours since they were barely noticeable. The ankle zip is very helpful when putting them on over hiking boots and pants. Pants sizes run large. We had to return the XL and get L instead. Read more

These pants felt and worked great the first few times I used them in rain but they stopped being rain-proof (or even rain "resistant") in fewer than 8 uses. Waisted money. Read more

The marmots I have used on two long trails now. The Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail. Let me start with nothing is ever 100% waterproof. At some point there will be a saturation point and you will be wet. With that being said these pants are made well, lightweight and will keep the weather off of you in brief storms and winter conditions. Walking all day in rain, chances are you will be wet by the time you reach camp. They dry quickly though and are easy to clean. They are a good wind protection at high elevation without adding weight and making you super hot. I always leave the pockets unzipped and the ankles unzipped when not raining to keep my body temp down while I hike. They dry fast and have held up through the entire 5 month thru hike. These have also been great when on boats. Took on an Alaska cruise as well as with me when fishing in local lakes. Just an all around nice light layer of weather protection when needed. Read more

Bought for Iceland trip. Wore over leggings. Served me well behind waterfalls and on windy, rainy day-hikes. Never had to worry with these - great quality, look, and comfort. Satisfying purchase. Read more

Nice rain pants, except there is No back self stuff sack pocket. The attached tag says it’s there. The Marmot site product page says it’s there. And the Marmot costumer service agent says it’s supposed to be there. So am not sure what to make of it. It’s a missing product feature. So, is this an authentic Marmot product? Read more
