I purchased this tent a year ago because after much research of many products, this product did not leave anything for me to buy except my plant(s). It has everything I need for successful growing. I like the fact that it has a double zipper front door that is solid, and not "see through". I prefer to just give my plant(s) the protected environment from controlling the light, humidity and air that they need during the times they need it. If I wish to "peep", there is a mesh "window" at the top of the door. But I don't use it. I must water proficiently for a quality plant(s), plus putting my eyes close to observe any signs of undernourishment, etc. Need to touch, breathe on (for their CO2 requirements), and talk to them. All this matters to a well rounded plant(s). It did take me quite some time to put everything all together, but once it was done, It stands in the spare room corner and is being used now and my plants have never ever been so big and healthy. The grow light can be easily raised or lowered, brightened or dimmed as required by the plant(s). Excess heat is not a problem. Plugging the light into a timer assures the correct daylight/darkness is always available to the plant(s), easy access to watering/fertilizing feeds as their needs require. The air flow can be adjust between very strong to very weak force air, which healthy plants need the circulation of indirect air flow to be healthy. I highly recommend this product and my plant(s) are growing taller, bushier and more healthy than they ever had outside. My only regret is that I didn't buy a slightly larger tent. Super high quality tent with thick material and good zipper design, it fits perfectly in a 3x3 space just enough room to still be out of way, I am running my first DWC grow using the same brand Mars Hydro for my whole set up, and so far nothing disappoints, everything works great as advertised and I am thinking of purchasing a second tent for a mushroom grow!! The Mars Hydro 2.3x2.3 grow tent is great for typical applications where outdoor growing just won't go. It can also be used well for preseason clone training. The package ships with the tent, metal poles and connectors, a duct fan with about 30 feet of ducting and the Mars Hydro TS1000 light. OVERALL - Due to missing some window covers, low quality duct fan and poor instructions I would say this product is a 4/5 with a can improve rating. I am sure users would rather pay $50 more to get a better fan and instructions than to worry about the cheap one that comes in the box. However, the quality is great, yield is great and overall it is highly worth the money as I have already doubled my overall investment with my first grow. PROS: POTENTIAL YIELD - I was able to yield about 9 ounces of high grade cannabis from 2 plants that I intentionally kept small for monster cropping. I could have easily doubled my yield if the plants were allowed to grow differently. TENT REFLECTIVENESS - The material of the tent is highly reflective and adds about 20% more light from the walls than if it is not in a tent. I used a light meter to test these numbers. ZIPPER QUALITY - This tent has a high quality zipper unlike its competitors, this zipper should last several seasons and if properly cared for several years. LIGHT CONTROL - The TS1000 is a great light for this size tent and features dimmable switches, daisy chaining and night metal hangers. I would recommend upgrading to a TS2000 if you want insane yields. PRE SEASON GROW TENT - This tent is great for indoor grows but I also employ a second tent (4x4) for my preseason training. I take my clones around April and grow them controlled in the tent where I can properly train them and prep them for wind, HEAT, etc then come June 1st I place them outside to finish off. I estimate about 1.5 lbs per plant outdoor by end of harvest thanks to my pre season growing and prep. CONS: FAN - I found the fan was not to my standards and replaced it with a upgraded low sound digital ducting fan, the one that ships is low quality, loud and did not circulate enough air. INSTRUCTIONS - The in box instructions are poor and do not provide much information on setting up your tent. However I have set up tents before so I was able to set this up in about 20-30 minutes without any tools. I'm on my second grow with this tent and everything is holding up pretty good. The light is a good quality and super bright. The only thing that failed was the fan that came with it but it was poorly designed so I had to replace it a few months after I got it. Very nice system. Didnt realize how bright the light is.. definitely needed the glasses to see. Installation was pretty easy.. but i had watched several setup videos on youtube prior to its arrival. No complaints as long as it stays working. Nothing was damaged everything arrived packed good. I was most worried about it arriving destroyed. No light leakage no issues with any of the equipment. I ran it all on high upon arrival. If thinking of starting up I’d go for it. Read more
