I've only been testing this fan/filter for a few weeks, but so far I'm very happy. It moves a ton of air in my 4x4 and the fan (which I installed inside the tent) is decently quiet when cranked up to max settings. It was very easy to assemble and install, and I have no experience with these kinds of things. I did opt to seal the ducting with aluminum foil tape in addition to the hose clamps -- the tape needs to be bought separately. That said, I don't know if that's even necessary. The smart monitor is REALLY nifty. Tons of settings to automatically adjust for different scenarios when certain conditions are met. When I thought I had a problem with the monitor (it was actually just me being dumb though) customer support responded to my question in a few hours. Really can't complain! The media could not be loaded. This is quite possibly the best in line fan ever. Not only does it completely sustain a 3x3 tent, it literally sucks the humidity out of the whole room as well. The fact that it has a temperature and humidity sensor just sends it over the top. The mountable controller makes changing settings a breeze. The automation is a must have, I do not know how was running a fan full blast 24/7 before. Probably because there was no solution like this out there. Mars Hydro has really outdone themselves this time. Top of the line fan with a great controller. I will be ordering more for my other grow area. A few years ago fans like this were way too powerful for smaller tents. Even those with three settings, the lowest one was likely too powerful and would create a hurricane in a smaller tent. The variable speed control with ten levels, including slower speeds, is a real game-changer. This fan is exceptionally quiet at low settings. It's like a bathroom vent fan at 4 or below. Starts to get a little noisy if you turn it up higher. It's a perfect solution for a 2x2 tent as you can set it at a speed that will vent the tent but won't create negative pressure and suck the sides inward.. If you have a 3x3, especially a taller one like a Gorilla, you probably want to opt for the six-inch if noise is your #1 concern - a larger fan spinning more slowly will produce less noise than a smaller fan spinning at a higher RPM. UPDATED Seller has great customer service. I contacted regarding details as to the fan I received and Mars worked quickly to resolve my issue and were very polite. The fan received is great quality. Very similar to fans priced 50$ more, The Mars fan has a great green color and all the same features. I will buy again and would advise anyone wondering about this fan to purchase. This unit does exactly what I needed it to do. I have a 3' x 2'.5'', 4' high grow room and it keep the smell away and the temps where I need them to be. I have my unit set to turn on automatically if temp hits 75 or humidity goes above 50%. Noise is Okay, but you can't expect anything quieter when the fan needs to adjust when your grow space adjusts. I do wish the 'min temps' setting would be programmed to STOP the units if temps or humidity fall below a certain point, but it does not work that way. The fan is okay, maybe a little louder than I expected but still ok. I’m giving it a 1-star because the billing was completely botched, not sure if this was Mars Hydro or Amazon, but this forced me to get a new credit card and wasted an enormous amount of time dealing with fraud claim which ended up being a false claim and having to re-do most of my auto-payments. It was initially billed the correct amount, $139.36, a couple days later I saw a pending charge for $59.73 without any vendor information which I reported as fraudulent, almost a week later I saw yet another charge for $79.63 and the next day the original $139.36 posted charge was reversed, but by then I had already received a charge credit and a new credit card. Why was the $139.36 amount for the fan split into 2 charges ($59.73 + $79.63) in multiple day transactions is beyond me, I was going to buy more accessories from Mars Hydro, but no more. Read more
