I normally wear a size 18. I ordered the 18 in this dress & feel it looked too big, so I ordered the 16. That looks GREAT! The MATERIAL was the 1st thing to catch my notice. It’s really thick, high quality material. The dress is cut nicely & complements my figure. The dress is also very versatile; I can wear this to work, on a date, or to Church. I ordered this in the “abstract” pattern & in the floral with purple flowers & green leaves. The floral pattern is rather psychedelic in its feel. I kept thinking of belladonna. I like this brand so much that I ordered 2 suits from the same company! They looked fantastic & were thick material, too! I am 5’7”, 180 lbs. I am a pear shape, small bust (40C/42B) going straight down to square shaped, large hips. I am long waisted. I usually wear size 18, though in some brands need to size up to size 20 or 1X. Read more

First of all kudos to this vendor and Amazon for delivering this 3 days after my order. So what did I get for $39.90? A surprisingly good quality and very well made dress. Frankly I did not expect much for the price (I ordered 2 to decide on color) The fabric is of substantial weight and drapes nicely. No inferior sewing - no crappy seaming, an invisible zipper well sewn in, hemline straight and not droopy in front or back. It really is more suited to spring/fall/winter, not 80° plus weather. I am a bit of a clothing snob when it comes to outfits for nicer or special occasions. My usual budget for that is $150 - $300. Would I wear this to a very formal occasion? No. Anything else? You bet. The last dress I got for something special was for my nephews wedding - it was a lovely sleeveless designer dress from a well known quality store. This dress compares favorably against it - in fact the zipper is sewn in better. The sizes are not smaller as many are for Asian women. Be honest what size you wear and it will fit well. (In other words don’t say you’re a size 5 when in reality you’re a size 7 or 9, you’re not fooling anyone) I am petite - 5 ft, 101 lbs, size 28dd bra (no that’s not huge - it’s comparable to a 32 b, American women don’t know how to properly measure themselves for bras) and I bought a size 0. It comes below my knee (which most of us north of 50 like) comes to waist then the skirt part flares well - hiding any lumps and bumps you don’t like below your waist. The white is white, and the blue is a nice shade navy blue no matter what your computer screen shows. I cannot speak to the other colors. The style is classy. These dresses are really nice and comfortable. I have them in three different colors. Usually I wear a sixteen but ordered these in an eighteen because I did not want it to be too tight. My midsection is slightly extended..lol. I am five feet three inches one hundred seventyish pounds and it falls well below my knees which I absolutely love. PROS: - Very nice quality! - Thick enough to hide imperfections without being too heavy - Stylish - I absolutely LOVE these dresses and ordered several different colors! With my size and body (see below), it's so hard to find nice dresses, so these'll be invaluable to have on-hand for events (considering how hard it is for me to find nice dresses on a whim). - Great price (~$40-45) CONS: - "Dark blue" is NOT the brighter blue shade in the Amazon listing (or in some of the other reviewers' photos). This dress is navy (see picture of blue with same dress in black behind it). I'm keeping the blue (looks great with nude/ivory/beige shoes and belt), but I really wish it was a more vibrant blue like in the listing. - Sizing is off. See below. SIZING - I kept the Size 0's. The product size chart recommended Size 6 (VERY HUGE in the shoulders), and Amazon suggested a 4. Even the Size 0 is too big in my shoulders and neckline area, but it's doable. (Size 2 was not doable at all.) - I'm ~4'11"-5' and currently 112 lbs with a mom pooch lower belly. Shapewear plus this dress sufficiently hid the mom belly. I'm a 34AA I think. If you're MUCH bigger up top (like DD) you might fit it closer to the product sizing. - I didn't have time to get the dress hemmed, but it was ok for the occasion. (I might still get some of the colors shortened somewhat.) Long length on my short frame looked somewhat frumpy without the belt. VERSATILITY - I wore this to a funeral, but it could be worn to a wedding, church, or other nice event. - It was fine without a belt, but adding a thin belt added some pizzazz and broke up the dress a bit so I didn't look overwhelmed by the length like a little child trying on mommy's dress. I really like thus flowy dress with the modest length. It is a heavier weight, which I appreciate as a full figured woman. Because of the weight, it falls nicely and looks elegant. The little notch at the front is something the designer could have done away with because for the look to be polished, you would either need to go witha longer necklace or no necklace at all. The pearl choker will not work. I was able to pull the dress over my head easily and it has enough stretch to flow over the curves so I don't look like a wrapped ham. I also like the 3/4 sleeves to cover my arms. This dress can be worn to work and to church. It washes well, too. I line dried it and it's ready to go. I plan to order a solid colored one because I like this one so much. Read more
