FINALLY, a product that only makes me have to type HALF as much as normal. That's 50%! This will be so useful for my daily job of copying Shakespearean manuscripts. In fact, I will write the rest of this review using the Matias Halfkeyboard USB. Here we go, testing: EGAD Et Wercs Great Fer Werc Read more

Not only is this half keyboard overpriced, but the bottom is warped, so that it doesn't even rest firmly on an even surface. No star would be more appropriate, but that's not possible. Read more

The other reviews are turtley misleading you can use with both hands no problem!! i find that the right hand typing is better than left anyway! This keyboard is even waterproof so i use it in my bathtub all the time!! the other half of the keyboard is projected onto your desk and you type on the holograohic keys!! overall a great buy and a cheap price tag! When I ordered the product, I checked the website for more information regarding left or right handed keyboard and found none. I ordered the keyboard thinking it would fit my needs but it did not so I returned it. In the communication between the seller and me there was a degree of sarcasm in his reply which I did not appreciate. What I learned later through Matias was that I needed to purchase a full keyboard that would work for any person, regardless of which hand was disabled. My suggestion is that the advertising for like products specify more accurately if it is a right or left handed keyboard, and secondly, the seller's price for a half keyboard ($390) was way out of range in comparison to a Mathia full keyboard ($595). We got the Halfkeyboard as a gift, but unfortunately I use my left hand for the mouse. The Mrs. already has a split keyboard, so why keep this? Well, it turns out that you can re-program the thing to be a mirror image (for us left-mousers), flip it over and presto, you have the "other half". Unfortunately, they leave this detail out of the specs (hint!). As an added bonus, our feline friend, Felix, has fallen in love with it, and uses it on Tuesdays for his cat blog! My only complaints: It's a little pricey, though we wouldn't be without it. And, you can't convert it to a Dvorak keyboard layout, which we have used for over 20 earth years. Read more
