I bought this brush based on the reviews, carefully observing the pictures to see if it would work on shorter haired beasts. I have a mutt that is 0% Labrador Retriever, but has Lab hair and undercoat. This brush works where others have failed. You're definitely going to want to brush your dog outside with this thing! I had the Furminator and it does work, but it was sharp and pointy and the dog didn't seem to enjoy being brushed. She has no complaints with the Maxpower Planet Pet brush and it seems to work just as well if not even better and easier. It's cheap.
