I ordered this due to me being at the age that hormones are wacky and my hair is thinning faster than I can handle. At first I only noticed up front that was thinning, but quickly realized that my hair was falling out all over. I ordered this in hopes that the minoxidil and the bergamot would help and not be so harsh as just straight minoxidil. After a few months of using, and a little seems to go a long way, I have finally started seeing some small sprigs of new hair coming in. The Mayan Beauty Minoxidil and Bergamot Hair Tonic Spray doesn’t really have a scent if at all. I decided to try this product because the hair around my temples has become noticeably thin and struggles to grow. While the rest of my hair is past my shoulders, the hair at the very front is extremely short, likely no more than four inches. I was specifically drawn to this tonic because it contains minoxidil, and I also purchased the matching shampoo from the same brand. My intention is to use both products together for a more consistent routine. So far, I have only used the tonic once, along with the shampoo, so it is too early to determine whether the minoxidil is effective. At this stage, I cannot speak to results, but I do appreciate how lightweight the spray feels and that it does not have a strong fragrance. Also, like that it has 5 percent minoxidil in it and that they didn’t cheap out by putting less. Some times you will find some with only 2-2.5% Since I am not using this product all over my head but just in the front I’m sure it will last. I plan to continue using it over the next 2-3 months to see if it helps thicken the hair and encourage regrowth around my temples. I was pleasantly surprised that it’s basically scent-free and doesn’t leave any residue behind, unlike many other tonics I’ve tried. It absorbs well into my scalp and doesn’t make my hair feel greasy or weighed down. As for hair regrowth, I know it contains minoxidil, so I don’t doubt its potential—but I’m still cautiously optimistic.
