I am CRAZY about these ceiling lights!! I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. Simple beauty at a reasonable price. Great looking light fixture! Perfect for my foyer. Here comes the tricky part. It is almost impossible for 1 person to install it, holding the fixture in one hand and connecting the wires with the other. Once you secure the screw caps to the bolts there is no room (maybe 1 inch) to reach in to hook up the wires. So I had an idea. I used 3 zip ties, one through both holes on the fixture and the other 2 putting them through the first zip tie and attaching them to the mounting plate, Now you have room to use both hands to connect the wires while the light is securely dangling. When done, hold the fixture carefully with the palm of your hand and cut the zip ties, put on the screw caps to hold the fixture in place. Getting the bolts through the holes also can be kind of tricky, takes patience! Make sure you leave some wiggle room between the mounting screws and the plate so you can turn the fixture once installed in case you want it at an diagonal angle like I did. Otherwise I love this product!!! BTW, I bought the vintage lightbulbs with the amber colored tint, looks great! P.S.: My fixture did not come with that white rectangular connector as shown in the video! If it doesn't, not to worry, you will figure it out! LOL Mine already came pre-connected. Read more
