Perfect low light night lights.
These lights are just the right brightness. They turn on when ambient light is nearly gone and turn off when light is available. No motion detection, but that is not an issue. They are rated at very low electric consumption so they can stay on all night for a couple of bucks a month.When I turn off all the lights in the kitchen ZING...this little baby lights up providing just enough light so that I can see where I need to go to get the main light switch when I return. When I turn the main lights back on this little light immediately goes out. They're great in the bathroom for the same reasons. I have some other night lights in the hall that have motion sensors, and that works well but it's a little freaky because sometimes the sensor doesn't kick in until you're half way down the dark hall and get near enough that the sensor just can't miss. I'll probably get another set of these less-tech liights and replace the motion sensor hall lights. Overall, these are very nice units that do what I need for a crazy low price. No idea how long they'll last, but they're inexpensive enough to just replace them once a year if they fry. Also, they don't block the second outlet...so watch out for units that are big and bulky and don't really add anyhting useful but block that second outlet. Thanks for your ear. Read more
