Bought this for a friend with a new baby. It arrived and found out it was squishy and just as hilarious as portrayed. The entire time I was wrapping it, I chuckled. It is voice activated, multiple light levels and beyond adorable. I was just a bit nervous because of its wackiness and new mom’s have a firm vision of their first nursery. Needless, to say they sent me a photo of their newborn basking in the soft light. I would send the photo, but new mom’s are kinda protective of the images of their babies being published. They LOVED it!!! Read more

The media could not be loaded. [Nov 2024 = MD TEAM Lying Flat Duck Night Light w/Voice Control - Adjustable Brightness w/ 7 Light Colors, 30-Minute Timer - Phone Stand...] I saw a squishy duck night light in a Christmas gift article online and thought it looked adorable. I was surprised to see one in the Amazon Vine test program a few days later and I grabbed it immediately. THEN I found this particular voice controlled squishy duck on the Vine list a couple of days later, and of course I had to have it too! I'm a 'mature' age woman who has to do adulting most of the time, but I'm not giving away either of these ducks because they really are as adorable as you think they are... Well, I think so anyway. The ducks are made of very flexible silicone (which the seller claims is baby safe), and the light, circuitry, and rechargeable battery are built into the flat base. There is an On/Off/30 minute slider switch on the base, and a USB C charging port between the duck's flappy legs. Its charge doesn't last long, a couple of hours (give or take). That's far less time than the other plain white duck which makes me think it may well be due to it having to actively listen for commands all the time, but you can keep it plugged into a power source all the time (if you don't mind the cord between its legs). Then we get to the one big problem I have with both the squishy ducks I now have... At the time of review, they both have a black 'X' marked in a prominent place - on their nether regions... I tried to remove the X from the ducks with rubbing alcohol, 'Goof Off', and several other things. Nothing worked. Perhaps it's supposed to indicate where one's phone would rest when using the duck as a phone stand, but whatever it's there for, I really wish it was removable. Dear 'MD TEAM' - Please use a small, easily peelable sticker with a X on it instead! Anyway, back to the adorableness... The white light color temperature of this duck is a neutral/warmish white, and when the switch is set to 'On', you can prod or squish the main body of the duck to turn the white light on or off again. If you switch to the '30' setting and then prod, or squeeze the body to choose your white light level, then the duck's light turns off after 30 minutes. Something to bear in mind - This duck is much less touch sensitive than the white light duck I have, and the color functions are only voice operated which might be an issue in a bedroom, though if you get close to it you can pretty much whisper. You can turn the white light on/off and choose the dimness level, by either touching the duck or talking to it. However, as I mentioned already, changing color or automatically cycling through all the colors can only be done by using voice commands. There is a set of voice commands listed in the little instructions leaflet and they all work as intended The duck usually does as it's told when Hubby or I talk say the commands clearly, but sometimes you have to repeat them a couple of times. Then again, if it hears what it thinks are commands from the TV or radio, or if we're just chatting nearby, it sometimes reacts ... So we never know when it's going to turn off, turn on, go white, change colors, etc. That doesn't bother us, and it's even kind of entertaining in a way. If it was kept in a quiet room it should be fine. Am I weird, loving this duck night light so much? Probably, but this squishy little duck (and my other less fancy squishy duck) make me happy every time I see them. Read more

It's a cute little light my dad has been asking for. It has voice response which is very picky. Doesn't work all the time but the light being manually switched on and off does. It's has a ton of little quirks and settings. Great value for the price and it brought my dad a smile playing with it. Read more
