Ive only messed with it for a couple hours, but im impressed. It's connected with the ear buds I bought, my daughter is 10. She does not need a phone. But I wanted her to be able to listen to music through a device that wasn't attached to my phone. She has access to Pandora and you tube music. I was also able to delete apps like TikTok that I don't want her to have access to. I was able to set up the libby app for her too! I made the front page her easy access page that will have the apps that she will want to use most. I downloaded a wallpaper app that she can choose her backgrounds. I love this little guy! I know what you're thinking. "But my cellphone can do all this, why should I buy it?" Well, I like keeping my phone clean and not clog it up with extra stuff. And the Mechen player is really fantastic and so easy to use to put all your music and movies on and free up that space. I purchased a different player some time ago that was over twenty dollars more expensive and it was worthless. I just could get that one to work and I wasn't very happy with it. But the Mechen player has worked flawlessly right out of the box. I think the best addition to this player is the Android capability. It opens up so much more convenience when using the player. I've been using an app to help when transferring files back and forth from my computer and phone. (called Local Send) So all I had to do is add it to the Mechen player, and then transferring files or movies and music became a breeze. Are you and your friends going to gather around and watch movies on the Mechen's screen? Probably not. But the screen is the perfect size to use when you have some down time anywhere. You can catch up with your podcasts, favorite music or movies anywhere! How cool is that? The speaker is loud enough to use by itself, or plug in and use the included earbuds - even use wireless Bluetooth headphones. You get the idea. And forget about worrying if the battery life will be enough. You can listen to several podcasts in a row and have plenty left over for anything else. (I'd been using it and did this exact thing and still had 62 percent battery left) All this and it can fit into a shirt pocket! The buttons or touch screen are easy and intuitive. No, "press this 3 times, then press..' (like the last one I bought) And, yes, the WiFi works seamlessly too. Over all, I am beyond happy with this player and actually think it is one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon. Love many things about this. Its perfect for my daughter who doesnt have a phone. She can listen to music and also read/listen to books. I can uninstall apps that I do not want which I appreciate, as I don't want social media on it. Battery life is decent and we havent had any problems with it. Read more

So one issue i took it out of the pack and it was working good for like an hour then the screen went black I thought it was dead so I plugged it in and it wasn't doing anything then like 20 minutes passed and I guess it went into a safe mode saying an error has happened blah blah but it gave me the opinion to do a factory restart or boot it up normally and since I had nothing on it I did the restart but ever since I did that its been working great I mean the battery is ok its not great but I can go to the gym for 4 or 5 hours and it makes it through that fine if u r just using it for music its fine but when u use like YouTube or something it eats the battery but to my surprise it came with a clear case and a screen protector and I thought that was a nice feature the headphones that came with it r junk but I wasn't planning on using wired headphones the basic apps works fine obviously u r not going to play COD on here but basic app (shopping app etc.) Work fine but I mainly got this so I would have something smaller to put in my pocket while at the gym or using while driving so I don't have to use my phone but for a basic music player im really happy with it and having wifi isn't necessary but its nice and I think 96gb is plenty for music I did try to put a 1tb sd card in it just so I wouldn't ever have to worry about storage and it said something like unreadable or something the sd card works fine on other devices but for some reason it didn't like it (might be the brand even after formatting it wouldn't read) but I just put the one that came with it back it and haven't messed with it again so i can probably get it to work but i didn't really feel like messing with it at the time like I said 96gb is plenty for music I have around 1,000 songs and that hasn't even used 10gb yet so its plenty big enough but y not put a 1tb in it if i have it but maybe later ill do it haven't use the radio but the built in speaker is decent and get decently load it has actually really good music quality i was really surprised how good it is (with headphones) i myself am a Samsung music fan (bc every mp3 player wants money for ad free even if u just want a player not to download stuff they still cram ads down you're throat) but with it not being a Samsung im using android music (theres probably away to get it with 3rd party but haven't looked into yet) but playing around with the EQ u can get some really good sound out of it u don't have to play with it sounds perfectly fine normally but i like bass and with messing around with the equalizer u can make some pretty clear and good sounding bass mid and highs everything so yes it has its cons but im actually really happy with it so I didn't think the price was to bad oh the touchscreen I mean it good but it does have its cons being little but like I said I wanted something smaller so that comes with the territory its just the little things that make it not perfect enough for 5 stars but hey maybe my standards r to high lol but I do highly recommend this one Read more

Just as the described. It’s basically a tiny tablet with no camera and using “android” as the operating system. We were able to download apps for music and movies and control the MP3 player with our phones so the kids cannot go crazy with them. We mainly got them because the kids want to listen to Christian music but don’t want to carry a massive tablet around with them and we are not getting them a phone so this works great! So they download music via home WiFi and they have hours or music to listen to on the school bus or car rides.
