I have been trying a different brand of on the spot acne patches for a while and I liked them. However, I have two cystic acne spots that would not go away even after months of using the patch every single day (with gunk pulled out every single time). So I ordered the Hydrocolloid Acne Healing Absorbing Zit Sticker Dots with Tea Tree oil at the beginning of January 2020. Two weeks later (01/19/20) and one of my spots is completely gone (was gone within a week) and the other is half the size, with less and less gunk pulled out each day. I feel like these dots are healing the area instead of just treating it. I really like the two different sizes. I started with the big one and now use the small one. They are a little thinner than the other brand, but I like that they are barely noticeable when I have them on. I use one every day for about 12 hours a day. I wash my face as soon as I get home from work and put one on and leave it until I wake up in the morning. I think the tea tree oil really helps with inflammation and redness too, as I am able to wear normal makeup and the area is not very noticeable at all. This product is not what I would call a miracle cure but then I don't believe in that concept as everything takes time, effort and patience. I suffer from late adult cystic acne that may be related to rosacea and I always try non-pharmaceutical solutions first. These acne patches definitely do work over time meaning several days or even a couple of weeks to reduce the inflammation and redness. I think the addition of tea tree oil is definitely a plus. The great thing for me about acne patches is that they take away the urge to pick which is the worst thing to do! As soon as I see a lesion appear, I use a patch on it after qcleansing and before bed. One thing I do like is that I can still apply moisturizer around the patches and they do not lift up. I like that this is hydrocolloid AND tea tree oil. Most other similar products don’t have the tea tree oil so I feel like I’m getting more “medicine” in each patch. About once a month in my chin area I get small whiteheads, or bumps under the skin which are forming pimples. I’ve used it for: - pimples that are forming under the skin, - little whiteheads, and - burst pimples (which I picked at). I strongly feel these patches improve all 3. It accelerates the healing, and allows the pimple to burst without you touching it with your bacteria fingers. And it keeps me from picking at my further. PROS: They stick really well, and are very clear. I’ve worn them overnight, and all day and people talking directly to me didn’t notice until after I pointed it out. There are other brands that are definitely more visible on the skin. Also they are pretty thin so you can forget you’re wearing them. CONS: The packaging is a little bit annoying because the opening is narrower than the package, which is normal. But the sheet holding the patches is also wider than the opening. So you always have to wiggle and bend the sheet to get it out. Small gripe, but it annoys me a bit every time. And you have to sometimes be careful pulling the patches off so it doesn’t stick to itself. It’s not the worst, but I’ve gotten one edge stuck to itself more than once. I used it anyway and it was fine. Not a deal-breaker in my book, though, since I can pull the patch off easily if I am a bit more careful. But it could be tough for ppl with low dexterity or large fingers. Overall I would highly recommend this particular brand and I would buy it again. I have been trying a different brand of on the spot acne patches for a while and like those, but I've noticed for whatever reason I've unfortunately been getting really bad dee/underground cystic acne spots that hurt super bad and are just ridiculously big/large, red, inflamed, and painful. The patches I have been using just weren't doing the trick for those deep, stubborn cystic acne spots. :( So I came across THESE NEW acne spot patches and they looked and sound WONDERFUL!!!
