I'm sure this is a great "butt pillow" for a lot of people, and honestly, at first (a few days ago!), I thought this was just perfect. But then I started getting this intense pain in my lower spine that I don't normally get at all...and it just wouldn't go away! I was using the pillow correctly (not the way the image is shown [sorry for the bad photo, btw!] - I had the pillow so that the "open" area was facing the back of the chair). So I had to figure out what was causing this - surely not the comfy new pillow? But that was exactly it...granted I am in my chair a lot...definitely more than I should be, but I am a disabled person, and part of getting this pillow was to make my sitting time (like most people, disabled or not), more comfortable. However, my spine obviously did not like the open area in the back (actually which is a new thing for me, but I thought hey, so many good reviews!). So, as I said, not for me, but (not pun intended, lol), obviously there are a lot that are fine with it. So for the moment, I have to turn the thing around, which it is not made for, but at least, no pain. Yay. Update: So I tried turning the pillow around, as shown in image...and hey, I have gotten quite comfy with this "butt pillow" turned this way! ...So, for each its own, is the lesson learned here!
