I've had the Megawise True HEPA Air Purifier (Model EPI235A) for a month. I've used it on all its settings and speeds, and have run it for short periods of time and for consecutive days. At its lowest speed, it is virtually silent. I often walk by it to check to see if it is running; it's that quiet. The unit is placed on a kitchen counter. It will respond when we are frying foods because of the resulting smoke. Then it returns to "silent'"mode. The only difficulty I encountered was with the instructions and initial set up. After unboxing, and placing the Megawise air filter on the counter right side up, the instructions tell you to "Flip the air purifier over." Now it's upside down. Then you are instructed to "Twist the filter housing counter clockwise and take it apart." None of this works. In fact, I was by myself and had to wait until my partner came home to hold the housing in place so the top could be twisted off. Inside the housing is the plastic wrapped filter, AND the power adapter (the plug), which the instructions never mention. Anyway, once we got the filter unwrapped and in place, and had the plug, we were able to complete the setup. The air purifier has worked perfectly ever since. Read more

The air purifier is fully automatic and choses its fan speed with air quality. Therefore it would continuously change its fan speeds as it feels necessary, and can be termed as a smart air purifier. Having said that, it could be a bit loud when running on high fan speeds. But would soon go back to quite mode with slow fan speed when it has done its job and cleaned the air. It has a HEPA filter, capable of cleaning and removing dust particles that are 0.3micron thick. The air quality is displayed by the changed colors on the top where green, yellow, red colors indicate various levels of air quality. The filter consumes very small power since it uses a 24V output adopter, operable with 100-230VAC, and with frequencies of 50 and 60HZ. This is important for the manufacturer to sell the item world wide, as different countries use different power supply. This particular air cleaner will be placed in a corner of my bedroom, where it will continuously work to remove dust particles, and provide a dust free environment. Read more

First, I will admit that I did not actually read what the size of this air purifier actually is. That being said, there is absolutely NO WAY that this will clean the air of a 1000 sq/ft apartment. This is ideal, perhaps, for a bedroom at most. The entire unit is just under 13" tall and 8" wide. Something that (again partly my fault) should have been stated in the actual description. So word to the MegaWise... research carefully. I will give a fair assessment that I put this on my kitchen counter for a trial run, and smoke odors from my Ninja Foodie were cleaned up fairly quickly. If you are tobacco smokers, I will say I have no confidence in this cleaning the air as expected. Update... Yes, as predicted, a water of money. It can't even handle 200 sq/ft much less 1000! I got the MEGAWISE Smart HEPA Air Purifier (updated 2022 version) to replace an old purifier that was on the verge of quitting. The unit is surprisingly light, although I don't plan to be carrying it around, The power line is around four feet long and has a USB C-style plug. I downloaded a sound meter app and tested both the old and new purifiers in the bedroom it will be used, from the same location about six feet away. Your results may vary. The old purifier averaged 28.5 dB over 31 seconds on Low, where it was normally operated. The MEGAWISE purifier averaged 22.8 dB over 33 seconds on Auto/Low. I'll likely operate this unit in this mode. On Medium, it averaged 31.6 dB over 31 seconds and 44 dB over 32 seconds on High...definitely noticeable. There is a significant difference between the old and new purifiers on low and I may even turn it up to Medium because it's so quiet on Low, that I'm not getting the ambient white noise I was used to. As for its purification ability...I don't know. It's already in a clean environment, so it shouldn't have much to do. I don't see dust piling up, so it must be doing its job. I do hope they rectify the filter availability before I need a replacement filter they recommend in six months. Read more

This is a nice, compact air purifier that cleans a lot of air space in very little time. The control panel includes an air quality indicator (Green, Orange, or Red) that is very helpful. The auto setting will allow this indicator to govern the cleaning rate. So it's pretty sophisticated. Assembling it for the first time, you can see how well made the unit is--especially the HEPA filter! Comes with a proprietary power cable that has a USB-C connection to the machine. I'm not sure if you can use a standard USB-C cable and a wall charger, but boy would that be handy if the proprietary cable ever got lost. Highly Recommended!!! Read more

So far it functions really well and is a compact unit. However, it is louder than I thought it would be on the fan setting. It isn’t terrible and is a nice white noise fan at night for sleeping. If you want one that is extremely quiet this isn’t the one. Read more

In winter, I don't open the windows very often, so this is a great air purifier I use in my private room. I like to use it at night before bed. What's great is that it doesn't get too loud on the top speed setting compared to other purifier brands I've used in the past. It does an excellent job of circulating and filtering the air Read more
