This is an excellent, convenient and extremely easy to use jump starter! My wife often forgets to turn off the lights of her RX 450H when parking in the the garage. Every time we have to call insurance Co for help and it is tedious and time consuming... Recently, I bought the MEGAWISE 2500A Peak 21800mAh Jump Starter. This jump starter is small, powerful, and foolproof. She easily started the "died car" after forgetting again turned off the light at the parking garage at work. It starts right up even without a battery! I like that I can keep it in glove box and use it to charge my cell phone. This unit also has a flashlight and reads the voltage of your car battery (so you can discern whether it's a dead battery or other starting issue). Ok, I don't write reviews almost ever. Maybe I should more.. But with this, I had to give it it's due respect. I have a 2007 dodge ram that for some reason no one can find, draws power while it's off, so that even new batteries die in like a week if I don't drive it (my main is a 2020 dodge charger scat pack. I don't use the truck much, especially these days). But anyway, I suffer from mitochondrial disease. I'm exhausted 24/7. Even small tasks can be overwhelming for me. So sometimes it can take weeks before I have the strength or impulse enough to jump charge the truck if I let it go too many days. It's just one more thing on my plate. But on black Friday yesterday, I saw an ad for a different charger, and I thought hmmm, do these work? This would be great if it worked! Anything that makes any task easier for me is so deeply appreciated. Anyway, I didn't trust the reviews on the other one so started looking at others. I was comparing battery, output, features and price. This unit here has the best of them all. And on black Friday for just 50 bucks! And that deal is still active currently as a cyber Monday deal. If you're in the market for one, get it. Don't hesitate. Ok I know I'm a bit verbose. It's just me lol. But long story short, this came today. Already had 3 of 4 charge lights lit. So I said heck with it, let me give it a shot. Went out to the truck, popped the hood, connected clamps, turned the key, and within 2 or 3 seconds, bam! Started right up! Was so easy! I couldn't believe this relatively small, flat unit could do it so effortlessly on my 5.7 liter dodge hemi ram. 30 seconds start to finish. I was in heaven! Was so excited I rushed in the house and praised the unit to my boys, as if they cared hahaha. But for me, the little things mean a lot. For this thing to work that easily and confidently, well, the truck battery is no longer something I feel on my shoulders. This unit is so portable it will forever be so easy to start that damn truck up now. One of my favorite purchases I've ever made on Amazon (believe me, I make A LOT of purchases on Amazon lol), and one of the best values overall for price to function ratio. I'm thinking of buying a few more to hand out as gifts! Who couldn't use this in their glove box or whatever? Seriously! Oh, I charged my galaxy note 9 on it too once I got inside. Fast charge and all, so that's awesome too! I then charged the unit and in a few hours it was 4 solid dots. So everything worked as expected, and worth every damn dollar of that 50 bucks. It has been fairly reliable after relying on it many times. It didnt work every time but that could be due to other issues. It has saved me many many times. Too many times.... It could be smaller and the plastic is weak. A corner broke off and has a crack but still works. Also the pincher clamps that go on the battery broke as well, the plastic again. Original review: I was excited by the low price and good reviews of this product. When I took it out of the package, it felt very light. I have lots of lithium batteries around, so decided to weigh the jump charger and compare it with some other lithium batteries I have. It weighed just over half of an 8,000mAh battery, and less than a quarter of a 19,600mAh battery. I decided to open it up and investigate! To my disappointment, I found that my 21,800mAh jump battery only had a single battery pack rated at 3,700mAh. I also found that the battery pack was manufactured in April of 2023! So, my brand new jump battery was made using a battery that is a year and a half old! Take a look at the picture I posted of the internal battery. I should have bought something more reputable. I am now waiting on a Gooloo jump battery. Update as of 10/23/24: I was hoping the manufacturer would weigh in about the fake advertised capacity, but I have not heard anything. I did use the jump battery with our vehicles several times. If the car battery is strong enough to run everything in the car, but not strong enough to start it, this jump battery works fine. If the car battery is very low, this has no chance of starting the car. We had to pull out the jumper cables for those. So, I guess I got what I paid for. I definitely won't buy this again. Read more
