Memory Foam Mattress Topper California King Size Dual Layer 4 Inch Mattress Pad 2 Inch Gel Memory Foam

I learned about this topper when I stayed several nights with a relative. I slept so well that I asked about the mattress, and was given a link to this topper. I love my sleep number bed, but it's literally at the end of the warranty period for the mattress. The topper started showing signs of compression years ago and I now believe was the cause of some discomfort, rolling over multiple times during the night due to a sore hip. I had tried adjusting the stiffness of the bed, but nothing really helped. Replacement OEM toppers are not available for sleep number beds (however for about $300 queen-size bucks there is a company that will make one for you). So...instead of a replacement, I added this topper on top of the topper. A proper topper topper. It does raise the height of the bed surface, and normal queen-size sheets don't tuck in quite as well as they used to. But I am sleeping so well! The media could not be loaded. Follow your instructions people! I love this and so glad I bought it! The memory foam finally expanded and smoothed out after about 12 hours. The cloth topper was fully expanded after about half hour. It’s super thick but not super soft to wear you sink into it. It does have some firmness to it perfect for people with bad backs. I love it because I can wash it! Didn’t hold the heat like I was afraid it would do. So I didn’t sweat at all and I even had a hot flash or two. Extremely durable and did not slide AT ALL from my mattress. I just hope this holds up for a long time! 48 hours is what I am to wait until fully expanded and it’s already fluffy enough for me! LOVE THIS ITEM & I will be buying a couple more! UPDATE-it’s been over a week now since I got my mattress topper and I must say WOW! It’s amazing. So comfortable and I sleep so much better! I am 47, post hysterectomy, major joint pain sufferer. My regular mattress is only a couple years old but due to many months recovering in it one side isn’t comfortable any more, honestly the whole thing is uncomfortable. So I decided to try this mattress topper instead of buying a new mattress. When I say I slept so good the first night (after the initial 48 hours of waiting for it to set up). I mean I could cry how comfortable I was. I am a toss and turner even on the best beds but this topper helped me get through the pain of achy joints. Now it’s been at least two weeks since I first slept on this topper and I am so happy about this purchase. It only had a mild factory smell when I first opened the package but went away after I put fresh clean linens on. It did say cooling foam however I’m a very warm person so it was only cool when I first lay on it or when I inevitably switch to a different position. Which is fine with me. I prefer warm. It didn’t seem to get any warmer than I was so that was fine. I ordered queen size and it fit perfectly on my thick mattress, with plenty to go under it. The soft fluffy topper on top of the foam is like a cloud I’m a feels person so rubbing my hand across the soft puffs under my sheet helps me fall asleep. I bought this topper several months ago and it has held up even through a cross-country move. I followed the instructions for letting it expand and it was very comfortable from the beginning. The cover worked well even for my thicker mattress. One thing that I don’t like about it is how much it moves and how difficult it is to adjust it without removing the sheets and cover. The two different foam layers separate and will get askew so that the top foam is not directly on top of the bottom foam. But for the price and comfort when it’s lined up, I’d recommend it! I read so many reviews on so many mattress toppers prior to purchasing this one. I was so worried because of some of the negative reviews, but this one looked the most like what I wad looking for so I went for it. I bought this because my mattress is a little too firm for me, which causes me hip pain at night. This topper completely got rid of that pain! There was no smell at all when I got it. It did take a day or two to completely fluff up, but I think the thickness of both the foam and the topper are amazing! This mattress topper is seriously so comfortable that I almost don’t want to get out of bed in the morning. I highly recommend purchasing this if you are looking for a topper. The only negative I will note is that I ordered a king size for my king size mattress and the foam does not cover the entire bed. There is a good half a foot at the end of the bed where you can visibly see there is no foam. However, I am 4’11 so it doesn’t bother me, and therefore did not impact my review.
