My grandmother recently celebrated her birthday and I knew she was wanting to try a memory foam pillow, so that what we chose to get her. After looking at several, I picked this one because of the size, shape, and the cooling aspect. To start, it's not ready to use once you open it. It states it will be ready in 24 hours. While it can be used after 24 hours, I have learned that with items like these, the time to let it fully form/expand is usually at least double. This was no exception. A good 48 hours and it was completely ready with the contours pronounced as the are meant to be. The size is a standard queen size pillow. The fabric is very soft and breathable. The fabric is meant to keep you cool all night long. It does. However, my grandmother perfers using a pillowcase. Quite frankly, so do I. With the pillowcase, it is cooling, but it is diluted some. The contours are ergonomic and follow the shape of a head without overdoing it. My grandmother sleeps on her back in one of those at home hospital type beds and this pillow is very comfortable for her. During the day we switch out her pillows to allow this one time to go back to it's original shape. While she isn't bedridden, she sometimes takes a short nap after lunch. Perfect thickness and size for my legs! I had been looking for some good pillows to lift my legs slightly, but not too much, while I slept on my back. I bought the first one and loved the quality. I bought a second and now after months of nightly use they have kept their shape. Less pain and swelling! Read more
FINALLY, a pillow that works for me. Needed one to replace my old one that isn't sold anymore. I have fairly narrow shoulders and thus MOST pillows are too tall for me. I have a small (but not tiny) frame and some neck problems. I expected this pillow to be super squishy just like squishmallows, and to the hands it kind of is. For my head, though, it provides just the right amount of support. I like to sleep with my hand under my pillow, but with this one I don't NEED to, like I have with my previous two pillows. It's just thick enough to give me the proper support, but it's soft as well, which makes it perfect for my needs. I couldn't give the full five stars, however, because despite some of the Amazon vine reviews saying otherwise, the cover it comes in is NOT removable, and therfore not washable. Now I'm stuck trying to find a protector that will fit this properly, as it is not really a standard size. I wish the store sold a removable protector, but they don't. Otherwise I'm quite happy with the quality and shape of the pillow. I also tend to sleep at the very edge of my pillow (on my side) because I can get claustrophobic with too much in my face, and I was worried that the curvature of this pillow might not work for that, but I find that it doesn't present me any issues. I'm not a back sleeper at all, but I could see this working for someone who sleeps on their back as well. I bought it due to the amount of time the memory foam takes to bounce back. Perceiving that as great quality. It sealed the deal and I was inevitably excited to have finally found a good pillow. As advertised, the pillow is colder and soft to the touch but is also quite small and thin. It uniquely has a strange deformed surface shape unbefitting of the normal two lumps on either side. It also has an unusual suction like effect on the ear, making it impossible to rest my head on it comfortably. Due to recent family issues I unfortunately missed the return window and will essentially be throwing $42 in the dumpster. A sad waste of money. Frankly, it’s been a disappointing experience. I’ve had some name brand expensive pillows before trying these and I must say for the price these pillows are so hard to beat, especially the twin pack, I ordered 2 of these and my wife loves them, sometimes I just take one to the couch to use there just that comfortable, the air and shape retention is very good, it’s a nice size for a queen sized pillow too, it retains its shape well, my only complaint would be maybe it could be a bit thicker. This 3.1 thickness pillow is much too thin. The foam is like a child's squish mallow toy with less rebound. It cannot possibly rebound with any amount of weight on the pillow - such as my small head! I decided to keep it for my first aid arsenal in case of limb injuries and strains when it is necessary to keep them elevated and iced. It cradles an arm or leg nicely for this purpose and will form around an ice pack, preventing it from slipping. There are better quality pillow options to choose from with lower price tags and better covers. I also found this pillow to be HOT, not Cooling at all. Read more
