So lightweight, I decided to weigh them. Turns out each shoe weighs in at an incredible 8.1 ounces. I have flip-flops heavier than these! Not to be undone be the light weight, the uppers on these shoes are also highly elastic. The feeling of having nothing on my feet continues with the awesome airflow that the material allows. I placed a flashlight inside (see photo) just to illustrate how very freely that air can circulate - pretty much like a screen door. Very, very comfortable to wear! The insoles are quite well padded in addition to the feeling that the sole itself feels as though it molds to the shape of my feet... I've worn these with socks all day, every day at work for the past week and have to report that I positively love these shoes. In the summertime? These shoes are gonna be awesome! I'm purchasing another pair in a size 11 (my current pair is 11.5) since the fit is so form fitting and forgiving. I chose an extra 1/2 size higher, worried that the elastic properties of the upper might make things a bit snug, but such is not the case. I'd bet that even a size 10 would fit okay and still have toe room. My great thanks to the designers and manufacturers of this footwear. The leather heel bolster & tongue add a touch of class too. My husband is a hard one to buy for when it comes to buying shoes. He is bow legged so it's hard to find a shoes that are comfortable for him. Being used to his work boots, that's the only footwear he would wear. I wanted to get him something else to wear, the work boots are fine for work, but not when we go somewhere nice, or even mediocre nice. I took a shot in the dark and got these shoes for him anyways, hoping they would be comfortable enough for him. Well I'm happy to say that he's been wearing them for about a week now and has no complaints about them; he has made statements a few times that they are so lightweight that he forgot he had them on while resting. He even hinted that he'd like a few more color options. That's a good sign! He did tell me that he likes the color that I chose, brown, and likes the style of the shoe as well. He's never owned any other color of shoes other than black for the 23 years we've been together. That too was a nice change. So far the shoes are holding up quiet well, that he construction seems to be of good quality and trust me, he's not easy on his shoes. We are a hiking, walking, adventurous family and he's been opting to wear these shoes over his work boots. Read more

It looks great and comfortable for the price, but it runs the heel, constantly. There's no padding in the heel to protect you from the seem and the hard leather backing and I've tightened and loosened them over and over, but nothing works. First, the shoes are beautiful. They really are eye-catching and are very light--two excellent features of a casual sneaker. They do offer excellent breath-ability as even a gentle stroll is rewarded by cool air to keep the feet feeling fresh. The stitching along the sides is even and looks good, and personally, I love the leather accents. And they are very easy to slip on--adding to the casual ease. There are, however, some concerns. First, the shoes are narrow. I wear a men's size 12 regular, but the shoes were much narrower. If you are an American with a regular fit, get the same size, but in wide. The length was perfect, it was just a width issue. I believe the wider size would make that easier. That can happen, I didn't deduct a star for that because there's always some volatility when it comes to sizes. The 1-star I took off was because the sole of the shoe was very smooth. I slid on the wood floor, I slid briefly on the cement outside my front door, and it was enough that I had some concerns about wearing them out and about. I'm not sure if it is a materials issue, a tread issue, or something else, but I would recommend sanding down the bottoms a bit to add some roughage so that sliding is reduced. This is otherwise a very good shoe, and I'm sorry to see them hampered by that one issue. If you're a bit lighter on your feet, however, you should be fine. Just make sure to get them a bit wider. Boss says I can't wear sneakers to work anymore. I say my feet are under my desk 8 hours of the day, it shouldn't matter. Luck for me these guys are just fancy enough to pass at work. They're super soft. Probably too soft. I'd be kinda hesitant to run in these. I'm sure they're durable but I don't want to take any chances. Much better for me to have a nice pair of soft shoes I can wear to work than to have another pair of running shoes. Besides the epoxy foam sole being light as a feather and soft as a pillow, there's some kind of foam insole in there as well which has a very buttery smoothness about the way it collapses under my weight.
