If you're ever truly outside hiking in a wooded area or somewhere with a stream or even out at the beach, you know how important zippered pockets are. So many other brands of workout or hiking shorts say secure pockets, but they generally only have velcro or deeper pockets, not zippers. These have zippers so thats the first great benefit. The second nice feature to this is the quick dry aspect of them. The material is wicking and it does not stay wet for very long, even coming right out of the ocean or pool. They can be worn in a ton of different scenarios with ease. The last thing I like is the fit. If you've ever had a pair of hiking shorts that rub on your inner thighs, you know the day can end pretty quickly. These are a great fit for me and do not cause any abrasion. The fit for me is also tru to size and range between 34-36 waist so it works and feels great. Overall, these have a lot of good features all packed into one product. I am a fan of these, and can recommend! Read more
Mens Hiking Shorts with Zipper Pockets March 9, 2026 Nice Looking and Fitting Walking/Jogging Shorts Most of the new shorts on the market seem to be tailored for walking or swimming. While these shorts don’t have a built-in supporter, they would be fine for swimming in a pinch as they are also quick dry. They can also be used for casual wear if that is your thing. For myself once spring has arrived, I wear shorts exclusively until October when it gets too cold for me. Being retired, I can do that. These shorts suit me by not being too long and catching on my knees, which can be quite annoying. They have adequate zippered pockets, so your stuff doesn’t fall out. Having lost a wallet once, I appreciate the zippers. There is one in the back for a phone but I’m not too keen on something riding my butt. Some people may like that pocket. Overall, I am very pleased with the comfortable fit and they look good. See picture. It’s 45 degrees outside now so short wearing weather for me is not far off. I walk the dog everyday so these shorts will get their workout. Retired Engineer Read more

As for the shorts themselves, they're really great. True to size, these are very comfortable and breathable pair of shorts that aren't too short and not too long. It sports three zipper pockets, on each side and another in the back in the center (which is a little odd). I'm always a fan of zipper pockets, especially in shorts. Additionally, the pockets are fairly deep which really comes in handy considering my main issue with them - cheap zippers. The left pocket zipper broke on me on literally day one. Each of the pocket zippers are closed when you receive the shorts, so you have to unzip them. This could've been a manufacturing issue, but the left zipper was stuck when I got it and when I tried to unzip it the zipper itself literally broke in half. The zipper feels cheap, and if it broke that quickly with that little force, it will not last overtime. Luckily the pockets are deep enough to where I don't need to zipper to still use the shorts. Aside from the zippers, these are a solid pair of shorts which is why I still have to give it 3 stars. Read more

This is a review of large size hiking shorts. Label says 92% polyester 8% spandex. Material is thin, but seems tough and water resistant. It’s not super soft, but soft enough to be comfortable in lightweight. There are three zipper pockets two hand pockets on side, slightly angled, and one on the rear in the middle. The pocket zippers have pulls. The length goes down to my knee, which is a little bit longer than I expected. They are fake pockets on the leg fronts like cargo pants in the fly is sealed, but its flap is open. There’s elastic behind around the top plus the drawstring. All material is nicely stitched. I’m really impressed with these hiking shorts. They are exactly what I need for a busy day outdoors or while traveling. The Highlights: Secure Storage: The zipper pockets are a total win. They are deep enough to hold a phone and keys securely without worrying about anything falling out while hiking or at the gym. Both side pockets and the rear pocket have zippers. Great Material: The quick-dry, lightweight fabric is very breathable. It has a nice bit of stretch to it, making them very comfortable for all-day wear. Quality Fit: The elastic waistband with the drawstring makes it easy to get a customized fit. They feel durable and well-made for the price point. Overall Verdict: These are practical, comfortable, and look great. They are definitely going in my suitcase for my next trip. Read more
Well, it’s 2026 and I guess we’re all getting used to buying clothes online that are packaged like snack food. Vacuum packed in plastic, you tear them open like a bag of chips. That’s how these shorts are delivered. Once I unpacked them, I found these drawstring shorts to be excellent. Comfortable dry-fit-type material, true to fit sizing (I am a classic men’s medium) and three pockets. Perfect for hiking (not that I know anything about that), the gym (again - foreign to me), or a casual game of golf that includes cigars and an adult beverage or two (now THAT’S in my wheelhouse). One thing I found a little weird about these pants is the back pocket. It’s not on the right cheek or the left cheek, it’s actually in the middle (as you can see in the picture). I have no idea why they are designed this way. I personally don’t really use back pockets of pants – I’m a front pocket wallet and keys guy – but it just strikes me as odd. However, due to the quality of the shorts I did not dock a star for this. If you aren’t a back pocket guy, these are highly recommended. Read more
