Would recommend. Excellent mid layer.

The first one came in a large and I ordered a medium. Quality item. My brother in law loved it so he kept it and When the medium arrived it fit well. I’m 5’9” /180lbs. Fits great. Not too loose or too snug. I’ve used it for morning runs with a merino t underneath in mid 30’s temps as well as a morning/evening layer for backpacking. Exceeded expectations. Great value. Exceeded my expectations

I haven't had this long, but so far this shirt has exceeded my expectations for a truly nice wool layer for a great price. I'm taking it backpacking tomorrow, and I'll update if the shirt stays as good as I think it will. If so, this is a full-on 5-star deal and I'll probably buy another soon. Read more

Very pleased with it.

I’m 5’ 11” and around 185 pounds. The medium fit me very comfortably. Just large enough to not be constricting but tight enough to fit under another shirt. It’s very comfortable and warm. The only issue I see with it are the thumb loops. Not a huge deal but they are in a weird spot so the sleeve tends to twist a little bit when using them. I am going to buy more of these though. My favorite pullover!!

I don't usually write reviews but I was sincerely impressed with the quality of this Merino Wool Pullover by 7even. Let me start by saying that I've purchased other Merino Wool Pieces from Smart Wool, Minus 33, WoolX, Meriwool, and this Pullover is hard to beat. I think it's ridiculous that you have to spend an arm and a leg to buy a high-quality layer of Merino Wool. I do a lot of hiking, backpacking and, rock climbing so having quality gear that is light and dependable is very key. I recently got back from doing a hike at Mt Rainer and this wool performed exceptionally well, I wore it as a base layer and it adapted to the weather like a charm. Best of all I never even felt the sweat and had NO ODOR! && This is definitely something that you can also wear on a casual night out! Just remember this is Merino Wool so follow the instructions when it comes to washing. Thank You 7even clothing, you have a customer for life! Read more

Great hiking shirt

Leah VJune 2, 2019✓ Verified purchase

Used this shirt for a few winter backpacking trips in the 20’s and 30’s. This shirk kept me warm in 22 with no wind perfectly. I tend to hike hot and dress very lightly so I don’t recommend everyone do this. I did have alternative warm gear in my backpack for camp but this shirt was the ticket while moving. It’s merino wool so it doesn’t smell terrible when sweating in it. I’m 5’7 and 155# and the medium fit nicely. It had a conformed and not loose fit but still comfortable to move and long enough to cover my kidneys etc. The stitching seems solid. I actually bought the hooded version which has a shoulder pocket instead of the chest pocket which worked perfectly to put my water filter in while hiking so it wouldn’t freeze. All around I found this a comfortable shirt and a good buy and cheaper then other merino wool brands out there. So far I really like this shirt. Read more

I'd maybe pay $20 for this shirt.

ShaneFebruary 14, 2021✓ Verified purchase

I had high hopes with this purchase. If it were $20, I might keep it. First, a medium is a true large. Likely for layering, but I could put two layers underneath the medium. I'm 5'9" 175 lbs. Second, last I checked, human thumbs don't grow out of the middle of the palm. You have to twist the shirt sleeve to fit the thumbs in the thumb holes, which causes a crease on the sleeve and pulls your thumb toward the center of your hand. A bit uncomfortable. Finally, the collar is floppy and doesn't fold down nicely when not zipped. The collar constantly touches your chin and neck flopping around if it's not fully zipped. I hate any pressure on my neck that is not consistent like a scarf. Keep shopping folks. Read more

Ok

Wish it would keep me a little bit warmer while hunting. Is nice for hiking and walking in the winter. Not so much for stand hunting. Also the four stars are for customer service, not product. I wouldn’t buy these again don’t think they will last very long. Already showing fraying, would think that it would be made nicer do to the price, but it’s not. Read more

Good base layer

Kyle B.April 19, 2019✓ Verified purchase

Bought this as a base layer to go under a light rain coat while hiking a wintry 14er in Colorado. It was about 32 degrees with no to low winds most of the hike and I never had to break out my mid layer. I got pretty hot once the sun came out and debated taking off my jacket. I kept it on, but unzipped. While I was thinking about this I noticed my chest was pretty sweaty. The next time I checked my comfort (probably 30 minutes) my chest had pretty much dried. If you're going to be sitting around in the cold instead of working hard, you might need a mid layer, but I think this shirt wicks moisture very well. The chest pocket might be nice for a key and/or a credit card if you're going for a run, but I haven't tried it. Read more
