Comfortable Casual Button Up with Great Color and Easy Care

Lynda B.January 29, 2026

I ordered this short sleeve button up shirt for my husband in the purple, and thankfully he is a man who is not afraid of color. The shade is nicely saturated and looks true to the online photos, which I always appreciate. While it is listed as a dress shirt, this is definitely more of a casual piece in our house. My husband would not wear a short sleeve shirt as a true dress shirt, but for casual wear it fits right into his wardrobe. The fabric is a polyester and spandex blend, with just enough stretch to make it comfortable without feeling clingy. He mentioned right away that the shirt feels comfortable, and that tracks with how it handles movement. The three percent spandex gives it a little give where you need it. I also steamed the shirt quickly before taking photos, and that was a pleasant surprise. Because it is polyester, the wrinkles relaxed almost immediately with very minimal effort. You would not need to iron this unless you really wanted a pressed look. The price is under $20, which feels very fair for a men’s shirt like this. It pairs well with jeans or khakis, and my husband also likes it layered under a pullover sweater since the short sleeves keep it from feeling bulky or too warm. With the range of colors available and the easy care, this is a solid casual shirt that can work year round depending on how it is styled. I am giving it five stars for comfort, color, and value. Great Color, Good Fit for My Husband, Fabric Is Noisy and Somewhat Cheap Feeling

CustomerJanuary 12, 2026

I picked this ROUWELL short sleeve shirt for my husband because he wanted an easy short sleeve button-down for warm weather that could work for both casual and slightly dressier situations. I ordered it in a Large for him and chose the blue color option. *Style & Appearance: This is a straightforward short sleeve button-down with a chest pocket and a clean, simple look. It reads casual first, not especially polished or upscale, mostly because of the fabric. *Color Quality: The blue is really pretty in person and looks accurate to the listing photos. It’s a solid, even color with no patchiness or fading out of the package. *Size & Fit: The Large fits my husband well and feels like it runs a little small. It sits comfortably through the shoulders and chest without pulling, and the length works nicely worn untucked. The sleeves do flare a bit, though, which some people may not like. *Weight & Thickness: The shirt is lightweight, which makes sense for summer wear. It doesn’t feel flimsy, but it also doesn’t have that substantial feel of a higher-end dress shirt. *Fabric & Material: The fabric has some stretch and is breathable, but it’s not soft in a traditional way. It has more of a crisp, synthetic feel rather than a smooth cotton feel. *Sensory (Feel, Sound, Smell, Wrinkles): Out of the package, the material was scratchy sounding and noisy, almost like a taffeta-type fabric. The sleeves also had a crease that made them stick out a bit like wings. I washed it, and that didn’t really change much. There were no weird smells, which I appreciated. *Stitching & Construction: The stitching looks good overall, with no loose threads or obvious construction issues. The buttons feel decent and secure, not flimsy. *Comfort: Despite the fabric feel, it’s actually comfortable for him to wear. It doesn’t restrict movement and feels fine throughout the day. *Functionality: This works well as a warm-weather shirt when you want something structured but still breathable. The pocket is practical, and everything lines up properly. *Versatility: It can work for casual office settings, dinners, or vacations, but it doesn’t quite pass as a dressy shirt up close. This is more business casual or relaxed wear than formal. *Washability & Care: It washed without any issues and came out looking the same. The creases in the sleeves didn’t really relax, so don’t expect a dramatic change after washing. *Value for the Cost: At 17.99, this feels fairly priced but not a standout deal. You’re paying for a decent fit and construction, not premium fabric or a high-end look. *Bottom Line: This is a comfortable, well-constructed short sleeve button-down for my husband with a nice color and good fit. The fabric is noisy and doesn’t feel high end, but if you’re okay with that, it works well for casual summer wear. Read more

High quality look at low quality price

Ted Larsen JrFebruary 6, 2026

I ordered this button-down in blue and was immediately impressed by the deep, rich color. The fit is excellent; it has a clean, regular cut that looks sharp whether it’s tucked into dress pants for a meeting or worn loose with casual chinos. The material quality stands out right away. It’s a 97% polyester and 3% spandex blend that feels substantial yet breathable, making it a great choice for staying cool during the summer. Most importantly, it is definitely wrinkle-free. I’ve worn it for a full day of travel and it held its crisp, structured shape without looking messy. It also comes out of the laundry ready to wear, which saves me a ton of time on ironing. Overall, it's a versatile, low-maintenance shirt that looks and feels high-end. Read more

Un tuck it, or not - it's great either way

Clay PorterJanuary 17, 2026

This is a multipurpose casual/business shirt that feels soft and has some flex to it. It's sort of like you're wearing a crisp, ironed T-shirt but then you remember it has pockets, buttons, and a collar. The first shot shows it laid flat in a resting state, to determine if the buttons line up with buttonholes. Nothing ruins a dress shirt quicker than misaligned holes, but it appears that we are good to go here. This is a large, and I have a 16 1/2 neck and there is maybe a 1/4 - 1/2" to spare. A perfect fit for me. Disregard the jeans in the dress photo - the shirt tucks properly and tails are long enough to not constantly need to be retucked. This is a stellar fit. In the casual photo, this wears like a name brand shirt that is designed to be untucked, except that it isn't a tapered fit. Which is good for me. If you are looking for a tapered shirt, this still may be slim enough. It is about $35 less expensive, so definitely give it some consideration. Read more
