I got this short sleeve dress shirt for my husband, and it ended up being a great find. First off, the fit was spot on, true to size and very flattering. It has that classic regular fit that’s not too tight and not too boxy, which can be hard to find. The fabric has a nice stretch to it, so it moves with him instead of feeling stiff. He wore it to a family event and later to work, and it looked polished in both settings. It’s one of those versatile shirts that works just as well with slacks as it does with nicer jeans. The stain shield feature is a big plus. While we haven’t tested it with anything major, it definitely handled small splashes without immediately soaking in. It’s nice peace of mind, especially for coffee drinkers or events where spills are bound to happen. The material still feels breathable and soft, not plasticky like some treated fabrics can. The collar lays nicely, the placket gives it a crisp look, and it holds its shape well after washing (we followed the care instructions and had no issues). This is a very comfortable shirt. It feels cool when you wear it and it's slinky soft against your skin. It arrived with fold marks, but those fell out nicely after a few hours hanging. So this is a no-iron shirt for sure, which I love. I haven't tested the stain shield claims but am familiar with this material so I believe it will resist stains. It does dry quickly when damp. I love the blue color I chose. It's bright and cheerful but not tacky. The photos I posted are pretty close. The material is thick and feels like quality fabric. The stitching is single-stitch, which makes me feel that it's maybe not as durable as double stitched or crossover stitched hems. But regardless, the stitching is tight and the hems are even. The button holes durable and the firmly sewn buttons match the fabric very closely. The fit is very nice. I'm a bit stout, so slim fit shirts are too tight across my stomach if they fit in the shoulders, or too loose in the shoulders if they fit my middle. The cut of this shirt is a good compromise and it looks very nice. And the slight stretch of the fabric makes it very comfortable when I'm moving around. The collar is stiff enough to sit nicely and not flop too much. This shirt is great for casual wear but looks nice enough for a more dressy situation. I think it's a good price for a very nice shirt. I was actually expecting this dress shirt to be that thin, scratchy material that feels like wearing a paper bag, but it turned out to be surprisingly soft. After the first few days of having it in the rotation for my office job, the reality of the stretch fabric is that it stays tucked in much better than I thought it woudl. I thought the lavender purple color might be a bit too loud for a business casual setting, but it is actually a very subtle, professional shade that looks great under a grey blazer. With five kids and four pets always making a mess at the breakfast table, I really needed something with a stain shield that actually worked. The texture of the cloth has a smooth, slightly cool feel against the skin, and the weight of the fabric is substantial enough that you can't see right through it. When I fasten the buttons, they have a solid, firm snap to them that doesn't feel like they are gona pop off if I reach for something on a high shelf in teh pantry. Across the shoulders, the fit is exactly what I was hoping for, though I did find that the collar was a little stiff right out of the box until I washed it once. Prepositions aside, on the sleeves themselves, the stitching is very clean with no loose threads hanging off, which is usually where these shirts start to fall apart. It answers the question of whether a stretch shirt can actually look formal enough for a wedding, and it hasn't been a hassle for my spouse to iron since it comes out of teh dryer with almost no wrinkles. I was pleasantly surprised with the feel of this fabric! It reminds me a lot of a silk shirt. The material is not too thin, and not see through at all. I got purple, and it looks great! It can be worn with or without an undershirt. I actually like the feeling of it on my skin when wearing it without an undershirt. I am 5'11" 128 lbs, and the large fits me well. It is not too tight around my neck, and the sleeves do not go all the way down to my elbows like other shirts of this size do. It is a shiny looking shirt, and it has not stained at all! It is comfortable when tucked in, and doesn't bulk up in my pants like some other shirts do. It does not wrinkle as easily, but if it wasn't hung up, it does get some wrinkles that are easy to iron or smooth out. It does not seem to attract much static, and I don't get hot in it like I do in other shirts. I really like this shirt. It looks professional, and feels nice and comfortable. It is way better than I expected, being it is polyester fabric. I have come to really like polyester clothing, now that I have gotten higher quality items. Read more
