Quality leather throughout, this is a well made very comfortable boot. On ladders often, walk on walls , joists rocks and roofs, aside from rock climbing boots, these are the best I’ve had .. The sole is one level, no heel to catch and trip. a cushy , fairly grippy compound that hardly shows wear. I have two pairs, keep them fresher that way. They may be a half to full size bigger by today’s standards . I wear a 12 D in most shoes of today. I want to start by saying these are NOT a no name boot, or 'Defencas' as this listing is calling them.. These are Die Hard brand boots that used to be sold by Sears department stores. A solid high quality work boot that carried a no questions asked 90 day warranty when Sears was still around. These were one of the longest lasting boots that I have used in asphalt paving 10+ years ago and was surprised when some of the reviews said they were actually Die Hards but being sold under a false name and using a photo that doesn't show the Die Hard name stamped into the leather on the side of the heel.
