I liked these more once I saw them in person. These boots don’t feel like real leather, but they seem durable and well put together still. The blocky heel adds height (yay) but stay stable too. The lace up front looks nice but I love the side zipper because it makes them easy to get on and off. The buckles are a nice added detail. The soles have decent grip for walking too, and the ankle height doesn't feel annoying like some stiff boots. The black color is a nice dark black with a little shine. They came in perfect condition, packaged well, and didn’t need much breaking in at all. I got these for my teen daughter (although I'd wear them myself!). She wore them all day to a con and she said they were extremely comfortable which is a huge win as this kid doesn't say that about many pairs of shoes. They're easy to put on and go great for a variety of fashion types.
