I get cold easily and am trying to gradually replace as many of the synthetics in my wardrobe as I can with clothes made of natural materials. So when I saw these leggings while doing my Black Friday shopping, I gave in to temptation and bought four pair - two heavyweight and one each in medium and lightweight. Yes, they're in different colors (black, grey, and blue). What I LOVE: They're cozy soft, like a high-quality fine-knit (superfine) merino wool sweater. They aren't itchy at all, and they breathe like they're not even there. The heavyweight ones are sufficient for the freezing temperatures at my sister's place in the mountains without being too warm for the slightly-warmer temperatures at my parents' place. They all look great, sleek and streamlined without the plastic sheen of synthetics. If you do medieval reenactment, like I do, they'll work perfectly for it too, as long as you can cover or ignore the company logos at the hip and left ankle. The free pair of socks that come with them are a basic grey but feel almost pillow-soft. What could be improved: I got XXL, because my measurements are borderline between there and XL for the company's size guide (L/10-12 in normal store sizes). The leggings are a little looser than they need to be, though the nice thing about wool knits is that you can't tell they're big unless they're way too big. I'll probably get XL for my next order, but only because I like the waist to feel a bit more snug than these are. (I can add a drawstring to fix that.) There's a seam about 3" above the ankle that I wish were slightly less visible, though it's not enough to make me look for a different style. An option with pockets would have been nice, even though it would mean losing the seamless line along the outer leg. But these minor issues don't even add up to any significant dissatisfaction. I'm going to be living in them all winter long and will at least be able to wear the lightweight ones in the summer. As well as wool breathes, even the heavyweight ones will probably be more comfortable than synthetic ones in the summer. Read more

These merino wool pants are soft, warm, and comfortable. The bottom of the leg has a cuff that can be folded up or let down for length. I purchased the 320 g/m^2, a perfect winter base weight. I do wish they came in a higher rise. The waist is a little tight because it fits right at or right below the belly button. For many women, this is fine, but I find a high rise more comfortable. They also came with a free pair of mid-calf, wool socks - I would guess they are size 9-11 - they are thick and warm. I would definitely buy this product again. They can be washed in cold water and hung to dry. Read more

I just received my Merino wool 320 weight leggings and tried them on. Per the sizing dimensions, I ordered size Large (5’ 2”, 135 lbs, weight concentrated in my hips and thighs) and the fit was perfect. The material felt so soft and comfy that I didn’t want to take them off in spite of it being August! I purchased them for an upcoming week-long kayak expedition in a cooler latitude. I plan to wear them under a dry suit, plus on land to set up camp and explore, counting on the anti-odor characteristic of Merino to make several days without a wash tolerable. Shipping was prompt, in time to have ordered a different size if I had to. These pants could also serve in winter under water-resistant hiking or rain pants to snowshoe or cross country ski. However, they are so comfortable, I may need another pair dedicated to reading by the fireplace or sleeping while snow camping. ;-) The free hiking socks that were included are also cozy, and would be great sleeping bag socks, too!. Size M. These fit nicely, are comfortable and warm. I would have given them 5 stars except for the logo embroidery on the bottom of one leg in the back. Read more

These feel great. They have a nice thickness to them, they are warm. I bought a larger size since I do not like tight clothing and they a they fit perfectly . They are a little itchy although it’s not a big deal. I have other 100% Marino pants and ones mixed with silk although I believe these are my favorite Read more

These did not fit like leggings, more like joggers. They are very warm and comfortable, but not exactly what I was hoping for in the product. The waist band also tends to sag a day or two after wear. Not high waisted, no fitted waist band. Read more

The leggings themselves are very nice. I bought the "light" pair. They keep my legs warm under my skirt. The only thing I would recommend to other buyers is to buy your true size. I saw a few reviews saying to buy one size larger than you'd normally wear and so I did. They are, for the most part too big. I washed and dried them in hopes of shrinking them somewhat but they still are too big. I have to pull them up often. Read more
