Good thick quality, and soft, not scratchy. Runs small. I’m 5’2”, 107lbs and the medium top and medium bottom fit perfectly. The pants bunch up a little at the bottom so they’ll work if you’re taller too. I got the 250 midweight in teal. The color is deep and rich. It was in the lower 50s last night and these kept me comfortably warm and dry in my sleeping bag. Read more

Received it today. If you get the 250 black do not size up, it's true to size. It's soft, not itchy, didn't wash yet, but it's perfect. Great to layer or wear alone, I needed a healthy, breathable fabric and 100% wool fit the bill. The socks that are included and also warm and comfortable. Read more

Best layering and best home clothes! I’ve been using merino tech for years. Gifted for layering to many of my family members. We all enjoy and just recently my husband asked for another one for this winter. I recently purchased a set to wear at home. I got 250 and wear it as is, sometimes a put a cotton sweatshirt on top. I spend a lot of time at home with the baby and it’s important for me to feel comfortable and warm. So this is great. Was considering to get 165, thought 250 would be too warm, but 250 works out just perfect. I got it in teal color and it looks charming, deep beautiful color. From another listing i got some socks and they’re also great. Amazing combo for those who spend a lot of time at home. Or for really anyone for layering. Also, since it doesn’t hold the smell, I don’t wash it that often. For home wearing I decided to size up and it worked well. I’m always amazed of merino wool properties - warm, not itchy, cozy and aerates so well! As for me, I enjoy. Read more

When I put on my first pair of Merino.tech wool I thought reviewers had deceived me. They were much scratchier than I anticipated. I ordered two to test, but sent one pair back (I felt guilty returning the pair I tried on...yes I did wear underwear beneath, but still.) I decided to grin and bear it. Flash forward ... one wash. I immediately noticed a difference in the fabric. It was much softer. Not as smooth as silk, but not scratchy to the point of distraction. Two washes ... They were comfortable. Still not silk, but I could wear them even under tight fitting clothing and they were fine. I reordered the pair I returned. Three washes ... so cuddly! Not silky, but soft. On doing some research I found that sizing is used in wool to make it easier to work with—think starch. Starched underwear (or base layer, or whatever) is not something you want next to your skin. It takes about three washes to come out. I bought four pairs in the end, three in medium weight, and one heavyweight, and wear just about everyday (it's cold this year!) The fabric is breathable (so important ladies...ahem). It doesn't retain odors. The heavy weight pair is the softest of all. I wear them as jammies. Hubby loves them. Kids aren't scandalized when I pad out in the morning in them. I am recommending to all my friends and family members. The only thing I think you might want to worry about is if you don't live in a place that is really cold, or if you wear them under clothes into an office, you *might* get too toasty. Read more

I bought multiple pairs to try the fit, softness and warmth. Found that the 250 for women was not as soft. In fact, they are prickly and itchy. But, I got my husband a 250 blue pair, it was pretty soft. Not much different to him to his 320 black. My 320 army green is super soft. Cashmere like. Very warm. Bought the 320 black, very itchy. Hate the socks. They are itchy and rough. I would rather pay cheaper price than get the socks. I bought the gaiter from same brand, hate it. They are thin and rough. Not recommended. Size is true to fit. With a small being very closed to your body. If you want some room around your midsection, size up Overall, I give 3.5 star to 4 star for inconsistency. If you happen to get a good soft pair, keep it!!! It is as good as smartwool, helly hansen and all those nice base layer. Read more

I bought this to wear under my scrubs at work bc my office is freezing. I bought the heaviest weight. I don't like skin tight layers and these aren't like that. I'm 5'4 about 135 and I got the size medium and they fit well. Not too tight and not loose. The layer does keep me warmer. They are not itchy and I am very sensitive to things like that. We washed in garment bags on a regular setting and hung to dry and they washed well. I would definitely recommend. Read more

This is my second pair I’ve bought! They are not itchy, and plenty of room to move. They make a great under layer, and are not bulky as so many others are. I love the quality and feel, very soft. I get standard black. I could probably wear as leggings they look really nice Read more
