Installed this outdoor light on our porch and the installation was pretty easy. Everything fit as expected and the instructions were simple to follow. Why did you pick this product vs others?: Very nice quality sconce light. I replaced the lights on my patio, and this was perfect. It’s very nice looking light with the dusk to dawn feature. It’s super solid and well made. I live on the Florida coast, and outdoor light fixtures do not last very long at all due to the salt air and heat. However, this one looks like it should hold up fairly well. It came with everything you need to install it. I was replacing an existing light, so I didn’t need all the parts, but I still went ahead and swapped them out, which was a breeze. The dusk to dawn feature has been working great. I have it installed under a porch and wasn’t sure how great the dusk to dawn feature would work, but it works just as well as other dusk to dawn lights in direct sun. Also I used an Edison style bulb like the one in the picture and it looks great. I don’t think it would look very good with a normal style white bulb. I also like that it has a regular light bulb socket. Some of the newer lights with built in LED lights are great, but when the lights go bad you have to replace the entire fixture. I prefer ones like this where you can easily change the bulb. It’s the perfect size. Some of the lights I have ordered offline end up being smaller than they look in pics or way too big. This light is perfect size and pics do a good job representing that. The only con I can think of is that it’s a little pricey in comparison, but it’s less than what you would pay for the same style light at Home Depot or Lowe’s. And it’s surprisingly just as high quality as the box store lights and not cheap like some of the other similar lights I have gotten off Amazon. Overall I highly recommend this light fixture! Love the look of this light fixture and that it has a photometric option so that I do not have to remember to turn it on and off each day. Husband said it was easy enough to install. He only complaint is that to change the bulb you have to remove the four small screws (size makes them easy to lose) and then put everything back. They are a bit on the smaller side, but the open area of the glass makes the light shine in all directions. We installed this on the back of the house, so size was not an issue for us, but it should be kept in mind when considering the overall aesthetic of a house/structure. Read more

I was excited to get these. But then... Fit and finish TERRIBLE. Paint job bad. Sloppy manufacturing. Uneven everything. Like kids toys have better molds. Missing hardware for a basic swap of standard coach lights as sizes are different (not standard). Had to go to Home Depot to spend another $20 on parts just to get them up. Incredibly inconvenient future light bulb SWAP - with 4 tiny screws each - and upside down. Good luck. Grab a partner. Directions awful, in broken, incomplete, misspelled English. The only reason they work is because we knew what we were doing. Any novice wouldn't get these to work based on the directions provided. They don't even have the basic wire colors correct. I mean really bad. Seem to function fine.... For now. The quality doesn't bode well for the long term. They should be half this price for the value. Light detection SEEMS okay... Again for now. They are much smaller than they look on thier ads. No motion detection (preferred for this location) on these. It was such a pain to get them to the point where we realized how bad they were it was no longer worth the effort to return them. We'd never buy again. Value for money not good. Look is mid at best. While there's nothing really wrong with this light fixture (i.e., it won't burn your house down), it also leaves a bit to be desired. The appearance is really nice, just as I expected it to be. The photocell is positioned on top of the mounting plate, which is unobtrusive, but you will have to keep it cleaned off periodically, or it will eventually just stay on all the time. I didn't need the photocell feature, so I removed it and wired directly to the light leads. My real issue with the light is its construction. It's very wobbly, due to the way it's brazed together at minimal contact points. This makes it bob like a cork in the wind, when you shut the door, run into it with your head, etc. This is not uncommon among cheaper outdoor fixtures, but I feel that it shouldn't be so springy. Also, installing a bulb is more difficult than it should be, due to design flaws. You have to remove four tiny stainless steel screws to lower the globe out of the way, insert a bulb, then reattach the globe with the four tiny screws. This wouldn't be so bad, except for the fact that the screws are made from stainless steel, which doesn't stick to a magnetic screwdriver head. Woe to the installer who isn't careful with these screws and loses one of them through a crack in the porch floor......For this reason, I would recommend installing a high quality long-life bulb, to reduce the amount of times you'll have to take it off and put it back on. This is actually beautiful. Very good quality, it looks FANTASTIC, and is the perfect brightness. It's actually quite heavy/sturdy. It could not be easier to install. I was surprised by the build quality of this, as I wasn't expecting much. Pleasantly surprised. Read more
