Iceland approved!! I have tried many without success. I got these in and was shocked how lightweight they were. I was skeptical how rugged or comfy they would be. Did plenty of hiking, climbing, wet and dry. I’d say 95% waterproof. Def used wool socks and my feet never got cold even in the frigid temps of an ice cave. Very, very happy with the comfort and support also. Great grip on uneven surfaces. I consider myself a weak angle and plantar fasciitis person so good shoes are hard to find for me. These were top notch!! Read more

I bought these for my mom who works at a fruit and vegetable factory where the floors are constantly wet and it’s incredibly cold. She would always buy cheap “waterproof” boots for $40 or $50, but they would either be too heavy or the water/moisture would somehow inevitably get inside. However she absolutely loves these. She says not only are they lightweight, but they are super comfy and they hold their warmth the full eight hours that she’s there. Now for full honesty, she does wear extra socks to fill them since she got them extra large in order to make them extra warm, but even then she would do the same with the other boots and they still wouldn’t hold their warmth. She also loves that they’re pretty easy to slip on especially for when she’s squeezed for time in the mornings to get ready for work. She loved these so much, she actually got another pair in the magenta color to wear on and off along with these. Anyways, needless to say, she absolutely recommends these boots! Read more

These are the rare boots that feel like house slippers right out of the box. They're easy to put on thanks to the zippers and loops, and nice and wide in the toe box. Having said that, I have to say they run a half-size small. My feet are, and always have been, an exact size 7. After one day of hiking in Sedona, they felt pretty much okay. After a second day of hiking the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, my feet swelled a bit, and my big toe was rubbing against the ends of the boots. After all that wear, obviously I can't return the boots, but I love them enough that I ordered another pair in 7.5. These fit perfectly. So, if you're even a little over the stated size, I recommend going a half size up. Read more

Very comfy and well designed. I had purchased another pair of hiking boots for an upcoming trip to Iceland, but actually I think I'll bring these instead now since they're more lightweight and have good grips. I own an older pair of Merrell hiking shoes in size 9, so I ordered a size 9 in these, and they fit perfectly. Got them on sale -- which seems like a good value. Read more

I like Merrill but these had material bunched up in the toe box in the right boot. Perhaps they sent me the boots another review stated this same issue or it’s a manufacturing issue. I got a half size larger and my toes were right at the top and I couldn’t get the boots on with socks. They’re very cute and having a zipper makes it easier to get on and off but it’s not easy. I love these boots even though they don't have a memory foam like my usual shoes. The boots are very durable. Despite being ankle-high, they are comfortable to walk in and you won't slip on a rainy or snowy day. I recommend them because they also help prevent your feet from freezing when the weather is very cold. I bought some memory foam insoles and they've worked for me with very thin socks. Read more
