my first time using collagen peptides, which are small pieces of animal collagen, absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract and can potentially improve skin hydration. they may also help relieve joint pain. i ordered the "Metagenics Golden Fusion - Bioavailable Curcumin - Grass-Fed Collagen Peptides - with Black Pepper, Cardamom & Cinnamon Bark - Non-GMO & Gluten Free" after coming across some studies that suggested that collagen peptides can increase bone strength and density, and improve muscle strength. as with most supplements, it will take time to see the results, for now i will just use this supplement in my morning smoothies and hope for good overall results. Golden Fusion by Metagenics. Big fan of this company. Known for their unquestionable quality they are the gold standard. I wish I could afford all my supplements from them. Rigously tested for 200 contaminents, heavy metals, toxins etc. Founders of functional medicine they have been in the business for 40 + years. So pleased this is available here and not practitioner exclusive. This is my first time taking this bioavailable source of curcumin and collagen peptides. A basis of coconut milk powder, collagen and turmeric with cinnamon cardamon and black pepper blend. Makes a nice warm golden milk drink before bed. I add 1 scoop to approx. 6 oz. to warm plant milk, a nice mellow taste, also nice with a drop of honey added. I did not like it in warm water although not terrible. It tastes of coconut with a hint of cardamon. I would not use it in plastic shaker bottle re: turmeric staining. Definatley a fan of the anti inflammatory benefits from turmeric /curcumin and love this powder blend. It works really well. Read more
