I bought these dress shoes for my son. He normally wears a size 7.5 in men’s, which is what I bought. I knew they may be a little big on him since I was getting dress shoes instead of tennis shoes, and they are a little big. The shoes look great! As others have said, there's a strong leather-treated smell so I'll be leaving it outside for awhile when I'm not wearing them. Hopefully the smell will go away with normal use. I don't plan on wearing them daily so I expect them to last. As with my other dress shoes I'll be using a cedar shoe tree so they keep their form longer. They're pretty true to size. I wear an 11 in dress shoes and they have about a 1/2" to 3/4" of room at the top, but I prefer that with the way the shoe tapers. Read more
I ordered two different colors, yellow-brown and dark brown. The yellow brown are way softer and more comfortable. The dark brown are much more stiff. Not sure if the material used is slighty different or something. Read more
First, I'd like to state that these shoes look exactly like the picture (very sharp) and fit exactly as I would have hoped. They also seem to be made of pretty decent material and feel like they'd last a while. Unfortunately, they have two big drawbacks (for me): 1.) They have absolutely zero traction on the soles. I have owned many nice dress shoes and realize that some can come this way, I just wish I'd known that ahead of time. I slipped three times on the carpeting inside my own home and almost tumbled down the stairs. I live in MN and won't even be chancing these outside where we can still have ice in the middle of July. I'm a big guy and in relatively good shape, and I did not feel safe in these at all. 2.) As another reviewer pointed out, they do have an over-powering chemical scent to them immediately out of the box. It's almost a very potent rubber smell mixed with an unpleasantly scented permanent marker. I had these in my bedroom for the first couple nights and it was overwhelming while I tried to sleep. For these two (very big) reasons, they are now being returned and I will not purchase any more of this style. If the above doesn't phase you, then I'd expect you'd thoroughly enjoy these shoes.
