This fragrance is one that will need to be reapplied more than once. The Top: Ginger, French Red Current, French Champagne Mandarin. The Middle: French Rose, Tender Freesia, Blue Violet Orris. Heart: Modern Amber, Sophisticated Musk, Sandalwood. The scent is very light and very feminine. As it airs, it gets very gentle. The amber and musk are delicate, as is the sandalwood and rose. This is one of those scents that when first applied it smells SO strong and overpowering that you immediately reach for a baby wipe or alcohol wipe to try and get as much of it off your skin as possible. Well, don't with this scent!!! Yes, it is super strong when first spritzed on, but give it a chance. After 15 - 20 minutes, the scent starts to mellow out as it is warmed on your skin and becomes much more tolerable. Another option is to spritz this two or three times in the air and then walk through the particles. I've had parfums like this that knock you over at first but end up smelling really good. One bonus is that being so strong is that they last throughout the day without needing reapplication. As to the scent, this is more floral than woody. You will definitely get freesia, rose, and violet, but not much else. I don't mind subtle florals, and this particular parfum isn't subtle. This is a better scent for spring and summer. The freshness and brightness of the florals is perfectly suited for warmer days and sunshine. I can't say that this is my favorite scent of all time. It's nice, though strong, and I was really hoping that the woodier notes would be stronger. It's a nice pick-me-up on grey overcast days that reminds me another sunny day is right around the corner. Reviewed by my wife: I am a olfactory snob. I get a headache, literally, from lots of smells and perfumes - even some very highly regarded ones. I wear Armani fragrances almost exclusively, and was skeptical that I might like something else (that wouldn't give me a headache). Both my husband and I felt that this scent almost belongs in the Armani family! It's light, but not too sweet or talc-ey or whatever. It really smells like *quality*. The spray is a very, very fine mist that almost needs two pumps to be enough for the day. The bottle is beautiful and appealing. I highly recommend this! Read more
